  1. I just recieved my RB26 from the local person...incredible looking and everything intact i cant wait to get my infinity mounts and drop the bad boy in my z
  2. i bet with 375WHP and 2400 lbs a S30 will run faster then a 10.8
  3. are you sure? i always heard they were on the exhaust side and there was a mod to add it to the intake side (HKS system) HKS Nissan Skyline BNR34 (650hp) its crazy how much it changes the performance of the car
  4. they have VVT on the exhaust side and HKS makes a VVT kit for the intake cam that makes the power and torque INCREDIBLE
  5. only vinyl i would even consider is the nismo vinyl package that is on the s-tune and r-tune nismo cars
  6. 550 ft. lbs is not even close to weak remember this is going in a car that weighs anywhere from 2400-2700 lbs... you will never see initial torque in an RB like you would in V8 engines, RB's need big turbos to make power like that and its going to take time for them to spool, drag racing will be different but look at RIPS car that has an RB30 block and an RB26 head i believe...its running 9 flat
  7. from what i have seen it makes slightly less torque, but that doesnt mean you should pick an engine purely just because it has torque Torque can suck when you get up to high amounts like you are talking about, on the street they do nothing but turn into burnout machines...thats how i feel i would say your best bet for torque vs HP in an RB is an RB30 block with an RB25 head
  8. all i know is that i want those fiberglass 1/4 panels they have
  9. so i got the paint samples in today and its definitely between midnight purple and imperial jade mica i will post up pics of my personal paint chips of them later
  10. I need to have these wide rear flares RB power will tear my rear tires up
  11. i was looking through that gallery earlier today and i love the way the car looks and how well it is put together!
  12. looks like sean will be getting a call from me next week
  13. thanks guys, i know the crank collar was needed with a R32 crank, maybe i can get lucky and source an R33 crank and that would make it easier
  14. my bad mods, could you please move this to the RB section
  15. I'm guessing that the R32 RB26 owners are mostly using Nismo N1 oil pumps with a crank collar welded on? I just want to make sure that is the way most or if any are doing it that way? I know that just putting a nismo oil pump on it wont be enough for time attack, auto-x, and drag races
  16. i was going to order with karim myself, but i found a local RB26 to me that i know has ran good in a car so i couldnt beat that deal...if that deal wouldnt of popped up i was ready to invest me money with karim because i have yet to hear one bad thing said about him or his motors...from what i have seen/heard, they are top notch and the guy is a great guy to deal with, he is extremely fast in responding to any questions you might have
  17. its my understanding the water pumps are the same, people do put the N1 water pumps from nismo on both the RB26 and the 25 so I would say it should be okay...but then again I'm no expert on the RB's but I know that they are the same pump
  18. alright, your build thread has definitely been a huge help to mine and i appreciate you taking the time to show everything you have done and why, i really like your idea for the pickup tube and will most likely mimic it
  19. alright thanks guys just wanted to be sure
  20. only 4 cylinder and rotary engines fit in a Z engine bay like that as far as i know the rocks hitting it can easily be taken care of if you get one of those #m clear bra's in a universal size and then cut it to fit that section of the fender
  21. so only the pickup needs to be modified? everything else will work? i just want to make sure that i can fit the front baffles on the RB26 and it work with the RB20 pan, that was my main concern
  22. from my experience with a 50 trim T3/T4 hybrid on SRT-4's this turbo is actually able to put down 500 WHP in a FWD setup, on a side note what are you doing about the hole for an external wastegate on the 5 bolt portion? if left open like that it will not boost at all. If im just stupid and didnt notice what you said pertaining to that then forget what i just said lol but what i would of done is got a 5 bolt internal wastegate flange, brought a 3" downpipe out of it on the outlet side, and then brought a small pipe out for welding an external wastegate flange on it...like this example, which is the pipe furthest to the left, it is an O2 housing for a 5 bolt turbo that has an external wastegate flange welded to it...and it has already proven 690 WHP on an SRT-4 so i know it works
  23. I remember reading on here in a few thread that i searched through that in order to get the RB20 200ZR pan to work on the RB26, the front of the pan must be modified to be deeper so the front windage tray can fit in there...Is this correct? Or just what people have said? I dont mind modifying it so that i can get more oil in the pan but i would just like to know from someone that has installed an RB26 in their car if the above statement is correct
  24. actaully i just ordered a spray can of imperial jade mica, and a spray can of midnight purple so im going to try them on metal and get some better pics of them in the sun, and then try them on the fender im not going to use
  25. the only part i wouldnt like about the fenders is that driving it on the street will turn that spot into an extremely pitted area from all of the rocks hitting it
