damn that looks awesome...synthtk i actually plan on the same setup...tokico's with the MM coilover kit for them, the car wont be going over any speed bumps and barely any steep hills, im going to tuck it against the body the best possible way, or maybe buy some oval piping that matches the flow of 4" and then go to 4" pipe at the end it would be nice if someone made exhausts like this for the Z...maybe i will have to start doing that, just make it a little long in the front so people can adapt the way they want to it

all EVO IX's has an adjustable center diff that can switch betwen tarmac, snow, and graval...i would say it can handle snow and dirt
-
nvm i read your cardomain

damn that looks really nice!!! i might have to look more into those mufflers, with having a fuel cell and it only being a weekend warrior for me, the ground clearance isnt much of an issue to me...
-
do you happen to have any better pics of it then that one that is one their site?

i have known about boost logic for quite a while...but the problem is with a 3" exhaust maxing its amount of flow around 600 HP...i will be another 150-200 above that at full race gas tune...the outlet on the turbo will be a 4" v-band, i will just run 4" all the way back...at 850 HP supras can see over a 150 WHP gain with just removing the filter and a 80mm catback "Here is a post from Mike, an SP Customer. He has an SP88: "That was my car with the SP88. Dont under estimate the importance of airflow at high HP levels. My car gained 40rwhp on the dyno by taking off the "HIGH FLOW" air filter!!!! This is at the 850+hp level. As far as exhaust, the SP88 had a 4inch DP that was bolted to the Greddy PE exhaust. Taking off the muffler gained 170rwhp on the dyno!!!!!!!!!!! Who knows how much power would have been taken away if I had 3 inch piping ALL the way through......maybe 250rwhp??

Borg Warner S370 Turbocharger im just running a single turbo so i only need a single exhaust, summit is down the road from my house pretty much so i know i could go there but im going to the JDM style with the straightest possible exhaust flow, so the muffler will come out at a slant and it will need to look good, so i was hoping for stainless so that i know for the most part it will stay polished
-
I figured that this would be the best place for it, does anyone know where i could get a 4" straight through muffler besides Burns, Magnaflow, Borla? right now my choice is Burns but im trying to find a little cheaper solution then 270 for a muffler yes i need 4" too since im going to be running a custom borg warner S370 on my RB26 Z
-
early Evo's had the worst clutch problems probable
-
this is exactly the same plan i am going for on my 240Z...glad to see its pretty straight forward and a much cheaper way then the Z31 R200 but being just as strong
-
synthtk you car is sick...any links to pics of the exterior of your car? your car is the main car im basing my clean swap off of and i hope i can do as good of a job as you did...i just need one of those SST oil pans instead of the RB20 pan that i do not want to use
-
i sent an email to rick and as of a month ago he is getting ready now to make another batch, anyone interested in them should email him
-
that looks like a modified RB26 oil pan

my caliber SRT-4 ran 14.1 with intake and exhaust i perfectly understand your situation at 20 i own my RB26 Z that im finishing up, my caliber SRT-4, and my neon SRT-4 (which is for sale)...it was tough for me a year ago, but i stayed with it and got by with hard work and now its going good good luck on the sale, if i didnt already have my work cut out on my Z i would be extremely interested in yours
-
send some pics my way as well lilestzo69@aol.com and they are completely shaved correct? no bumper holes or gas door
-
I'm getting excited to see these now
-
i agree with 240Z master, if you look at the thread in this section with people that have RB swapped Z's...its as if the car was meant to have this engine in it
-
i know i commented earlier but man...i hope my swap turns out half as clean and well put together as this one does
-
i would go dry sump if it wasnt so expensive but, i think the next best solution for me personally is what i stated, i will be tracking my car pretty hard in the redline time attack circuit next year so i will have to look into another baffle plate to help with oil flow to the pick up tube
-
well after reading the article you posted bob about what matt has said it seems like the my worries about the Z31 200ZR pan were correct in that...it isnt designed for the better oiling system in the RB26, and that it requires removal of the stock windage trays on the bottom of the RB26 since i for this information i am also going to be using the stock RB26 flange, am going to make my own pan from aluminum and will have it be around 5-6 quarts of capacity with a large trap door door with a rubber gasket sealing oil under braking and then a large diamond shape 4 door baffle surrounding the pickup tube that seems like the best solution for all types of lateral acceleration, does that seem right to you? Also that way i can keep the stock windage trays and then that would solve all problems with the dropping oil pressure
-
going through mckinney is a very expensive way to get it in the car...your looking at over 3500 if you are looking for the direct bolt in swap way through them, on top of that, there is the motor and transmission
-
some of the most arrogent assholes i have seen on the internet and in real life were mustang, EVO, STI, and 240SX owners, and im sad to say the SRT-4 owners are up there as well...makes me embarrassed to go anywhere with the car i drive on a side note, i think a better way to help spool would be using BW's Extended tip technology, a GT35R compared to a BW S300 series unit...the S300 will spool faster, make more peak power, and will give a much better power range no need for exhaust valves or anything.
-
the whole fun part of an RB is the hard work and fabrication that needs to be done to get it in a Z
-
sorry to bring a 3 year old thread back from the dead but does anyone know if smoothline is still doing replacement body panels?
-
the RB20 transmission is crap for an RB25 and if you plan on modifying the RB25 to make some decent power then it wont last very long
