  1. NICE CHOICE!!! that was the one body style that alot of people didn't like for some odd reason, but its my favorite, so yeah im super jealous!!! haha but yeah awesome choice, and i hope you enjoy it!
  2. alright, here's what's gonna happen. im pulling the motor and trans, and im going to part the car out, and getting a better shell. hopefully another 2/2. so if anyone needs 1978 2/2 parts. let me know, ill be starting another thread to sell the stuff.

  4. ^^gotta agree on that one yasin!! and here's my old daily driver and my other current project my 1991 240sx..i miss driving it everyday, but i got into way too much trouble with it...
  5. looks decent, but instead of making it smaller, why not keep it the same size, give it more power, and bring back the S chassis (s13/s14/s15) as the smaller sports coupe?
  6. i recently got my cd catalog too, but havent gotten around to looking at it...thanks for the warning lol but in all seriousness, don't people realize that the S30 is a CLASSIC?! i mean christ you don't see 510s with vertical doors....
  7. the left side of the chain is looser than a 50yr old prostitute, and the old datsun tech i have helping (and teaching) me said thats a sign it could have jumped. also, when you crank it, it pushes air out through the intake, and one time it spit fire through the intake. compression test is as follows... #1 130 #2 120 #3 125 #4 130 #5 125 #6 130 im tempted to just sell it for for 150$ and save up for a 260. its got some good parts on it at least....
  8. figured it out. the timing chain jumped a couple teeth due to alot of slack in the left side of where the timing chain runs.... wtf.... i really dont want to get into this car too much since i paid 250$ for it...

  11. anyone have a picture of the fuse layout on a 78 280? the fuse panel cover that has the diagram didnt come with the car....
  12. alright, myself and a former datsun mechanic (he even remembers when these first came stateside lol) worked on it for 4 hours last night, and it still wont start. timing is good, we are getting PLENTY of fuel (the plugs keep getting soaked) and we have spark and air...wtf. can anybody point me in the right direction?
  13. now that i have the Z inside ive been trying to find floors and framerails for it. ive been looking at these.... http://www.datsunzparts.com/NewParts/summary.htm will they work for a 2+2? ill post pics of how bad the floors are later, now that i can get it up in the air....
  14. i finally got the car in the garage today, and ill start working on it tomorrow....
  15. 1991 TOYOTA corolla. bought it with 79K for 500$. rotted body, but you cannot kill this thing. has 90K on it now, and the only thing ive needed to replace is the exhaust and timing belt. super reliable.

  19. alright, well ive searched, and i know you can removed the EGR stuff from the L28 (the car is a 1978 280Z 2+2) and it will run fine, but what about removing the charcoal canister? can i just T off or plug the vacuum hoses? also, does anyone make a block off plate for the EGR? i
  20. i can't find this fuel injection bible.....can someone point me in the right direction? ive been searching for like two days now....
  21. THE LIST GOES ON.... -lower radiatior mount -keys wont work in doors -carpet <---that can wait.
