i say buy it. compared to my Z and alot of other's ive seen thats NOTHING as far as rust goes.....but do be wary of what the others have said about hidden rust, it sucks when you find it.....my 240sx is a perfect example....

That S/C looks like a BEAST! my only question is this: how close is it going to be to the side of the engine bay? it looks like the clearance is going to me daaaaaaaamned close!

my 240sx S13 is named Devil....it used to be called redevil when it was red but people didnt get that i meant Red Evil and started calling her devil and it stuck. as for the Z? doesnt have a name....yet. its not something you can force lol

hmmm great. well....im sure i could get the coupe floors and use them to a point....and then get spare metal for the rest....

alright its been decided. ive been hunting for parts, and looking into it..... .............im gonna try and fix her. im not trying to make her perfect, but she'll be in better shape than before i have a couple questions though, ive found some parts that say coupe only. im assuming thats for non 2+2s? becuase i found the floor kits on theZstore.com and they say coupe only....

i got another noob question....is my car a 4 or five speed? i was moving the shifter into the gears and i couldnt find fifth for the life of me.... and this thing needs shifter bushings...badly! also, i found this kit http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/PROD/SBC1B10A/30-7316 for the floor. i want it, but it says coupe only.....does that mean it wont fit the 2+2???

well, i need to at least fix the driver's floor first. oh and does anyone know where to get a carpet for this thing? actually, can anyone point me towards a site that pretty much has everything for the S30s? ::edit:: NEVERMIND. wow i had a noob moment. i found thezstore.com and have found pretty much everything ill need, even the center console.

wanna trade? lol j/k but seriously, if its as clean as you make it out to be, don't even think of modifying it. it'll will be worth more in the long run bone stock.

no no no!!! i meant if you dont want a car that does that then DONT get an eclipse. trust me, i know DSMs are AWFUL and that they spit belts and trannies.

i think i might buy it, and drive it, and work on it as i go. itll be a great car to learn to weld on while i continue fixing/finishing my 240sx. my 240sx was one of those "its got a hole in the strut tower and frame et rid of it" cars. i had my trusted friend russ at JNR motorsports fix it and ive had the car for four years now. thos only thing that scares me on the Z is that the passenger floor is junk altogether, i dont want to cut it out and have the car flex too much due to the unibody setup.

if you like crank walk, then sure why not? if you like a car that doesn't spit timing belts and transmissions as a daily.....then don't ever get an eclipse. ever.

alright alot of my Z owning friends where i live are telling me its not even worth it, even for the short cash. hopefully i might have found a 1973 240Z instead.

what engine do you have? that would help us help you.....

man that thing has got to be stupid fast. i mean, i've heard of power to weight ratio, thats crazy.... .....and its gonna suck when something breaks and he has to work on the engine.

my biggest concern right now is two things. 1.the passenger floor looks to be a total loss from under the front seat to the firewall. 2.the frame doesnt look good at all. i might have to replace it. im picking up this car for 250$. i cant weld yet, and this was going to be the car i learned on, and my friend is gonna help me for 50$ fix up the driver's floor.

i have a soft spot for old jap cars. i want to save it. the frame is pretty damned bad though. however, the body is better than i thought, except for that rot near the hatch latch, and there's rot on the front right fender, which is no big deal.. i just want to do it right. can anyone point me in the right direction for repairing/replacing the frame?

.....but im still going to try to fix it. pics of my 1978 280Z 2+2...until my camera died. ill post more later. any words of wisdom is apreciated. the frame is kinda ♥♥♥♥ as well.

lol same here. i dont drive my Z yet, but when i have my 240sx out, i try to keep it out of the main mass of parked cars, and my buddy with an 2003 altima does the same. i dont get how people can be so inconsiderate of older cars, or of cars in general.

why not go RB20? its the best of both worlds, and cheaper than the RB25 or 26.
