  1. I have an early 260z and i was trying to find out if suspension tech late 260z sway bars will work on mine i know the rear will but the front is a 1 1/8" and earlys are 1". Im thinking it mite cause its only a 1/8" differance. If enyone knows it would be greatly appriceated.
  2. i have the same problem on my number 6 cylinder i cant even find out why i have went though 3 gaskets because that small leak eventually burns a hole in the gasket.
  3. well after seeing all of your imputs i see that its not impossible to do its just not the best option but i was thinking of long term if i ever sell the car i mite get more money than if i stayed with the turbo motor. so now im back to square one turbo build or n/a build.
  4. thanks i think i will go with the 138mm rods im looking to make 350hp on a n/a engine but im going to go with triple carbs more original and im tired of fuel injection its more money that way and weber carbs arent bad there not hard to work on fuel injection can get complicated and costly, and the kameari dizzy has 6 servos so for the money i think its the best deal.
  5. ya but witch rods would be safer 133mm or the 138mm. I dont have a rod stoke ratio in mind im just looking to hit 350hp to the wheels and kameari dizzy is only 800 and its super accurate it has an infared laser in it and can handle 24,000 rpms.
  6. i would love to try and get that head back i found that that engine was in my 260z during its rally days.
  7. ya it was me i was just checking i should of kept that engine i found the papers but lost ur profile name. was the head ported.
  8. if u look up kameari stats 83mm stroke 138mm rods 89mm pistons= 3.1L but then other places say 83mm stroke 133mm rods 89mm pistons= 3.1L Kameari is the most trusted engine builders of classic japanese cars so thats y i asked and the say 139.5 mm rods are 3.0L.
  9. I have used the search but some used 138mm rods and others 240z rods witch are 133mm so witch are the best to go with manufacture dosent matter right now i will resarch that latter its witch length is the right one and best for a high hp n/a 3.1L.
  10. I used msa down pipe with 2.5 inch pipe all the way to the rear with no muffler and i went from 7psi to 9psi and car mad 195hp to the rear wheels but this motor has perfect compression and only has 40,000 miles on the motor i to think i found it in a junk yard.
  11. Im in the process of researching for my 3.1L build im going to do but im getting different rod lengths to use. One source says use 138mm rods and the other says use 240z rods i will be using a ld28 crank as soon as i can find one.
  12. kameari sells the hole kit.
  13. I have many ideas for my car and i cant make up my mind if i want a rb25det witch is 2k or if i should do a 3.1L triple carb engine. I want to know the price of a 3.1L build but i want some power my purpose was a street/show car. Thats why im thinking of a 3.1L because they look good and it looks factory. so i would like some imput and cost ideas.
  14. if u want to know how to make a good hp l series engine i would suggest a trip to japan and visit all of the classic Japanese car shops. they go more for the 3.1L engines. i seen one on the internet that was done at a japanese shop it was a 3.1L triple carb twin turbo that made around 450hp to 500 hp it was wicked.
  15. nissan does not sell the parts to convert eny more so finding one can be hard but as long as u get the race gears it will hold i have one but i cant sell it till i get my rb25det swap but if u mark me as a friend or pm me i can keep u in mind when i do sell it.
  16. my l28et ran 156psi on all but one witch was 154psi thats considered almost perfect and my motor came out of a junk yard.
  17. If it were me i would go with an rb25det its cheap for what u get and they only come with 20-50 thousand miles on them and upgrade parts are more available.
  18. If your looking for a transmission that can handle the power u car find a 240z racing 5 speed witch is a roadster trans with different gears and a conversion to bolt to the l motors. or u can due a z32 trans from a turbo 300zx mckinney motorsports has a convertion for that but its pricey. I have a roadster trans in my 260z with a l28et it will take a alot of abuse.
  19. Im looking for a 260z or 280z radio bracket.
  20. thank you i looked every were and could not find it but thanks again.
