Hi guys, I know this subject has come up many times but it seems that the handbrake question has been settled with the factory set-up only. The spot caliper is an aftermarket option but from what I understand some of you don't seem to trust it, specially the Zowners who lives in cities like San Francisco. I've been looking to upgrade my brakes with aftermarket parts such as Willwood and other brands but its obligatory for my handbrake to be operational. I keep on looking at the willwood site and they have a rear brake set-up w/handbrake that as the appearence of a stock set-up which is ideal for me and maybe for some of you. I think this can be a design for JSK or Ross who can fabricate something like that for our car. Would this design work on Zcars? I'am glad my comment made you laugh, I hope it took the pain away. I'am sure if you snoop around and play detective you have chances of findding your car, it's not a common car. Do you have the vin#? go around to body shops, get the word out you want to buy a "Z" and search "for sale adds" and go see them. Do not tell your friends your looking for it, especially the one that stored it for you, you never know. I've been taken by friends before, it's a shame but it happens. Good Luck. Hi guys, Hi Mat. You know when I first saw that car I also thought of the Pinto. But, I bet you if you jazz it up a bit you can get that car to look pretty nice. First, make the picture in colour, add ZG flairs, 16/17/18 inch wheels, front spoiler, maybe one in the back, and a colour scheme. Take for example that 510 w/Zg flairs and 18's, which I think is very nice, I'am sure some of you would agree that if you take a black and white pic of the 510 with white wall skinny tires and hubcaps it would have that "lets experiment and see if the public will like it look." Anybody care to photoshop that Z station wagon pic to see what it would look like? Cheers, Ari

Hi guy Thanks for your replies. Cody, the 300zx rear rotors are 10.4'' dia. So basicaly, coming back to my setup, I must use the 82/83 280zx with the matching calipers/rotors with the Maxima brackets? Ari.

Terry, I'am sure while you were working on your car you must of thought of new ideas but couldn't implement them because that would take you to a different direction, and since you were that far ahead into this design, you would have to start all over. Therefore, make molds of this car and create another design. Whats so difficult about that, you're an artist Terry, admit it Oh, for a name, I'll start with one. TOXIN, it rings Terry Oxandale.

Thanks for the reply datsunlover. But I wanted to know if the leaking problem was due to a defective m/c or booster. Is there supposed to be a gasket of some sort between the m/c and booster? Regards, Ari

Hi Guys I'am in the process of upgrading to 300zx frt/bk brakes. I have the 81zx m/c for the swap (not installed) but I notice there a leak between the m/c and booster on my 260. Is it the booster thats needs to be changed and if it is can I put an 81zx booster for the upgrade? Regards, Ari

You could wet sand it and buff it. What a coincidence, just today I saw a 350z the same colour and I wondered how my car would look like in that colour. Suits it very well. Nice car bro Cheers, Ari

Hi guys, I'am sorry to bring this topic up. I used the search and found a lot but not enough to clarify me. There is a gentlemen who is parting out a 88/300zxt and I thought I could use the front hub for a 5bolt setup. The search came up with a lot of talks of an 86/300zxt setup but nothing with the 88/300zxt setup. Can the 88 be used for my 5bolt conversion with the matching 300zxt disk? If I understand correctly, the offset will change and a spacer will reset this offset to the original position. Please correct me if I'am off. Thanks in advance, Ari

Cheers, Ari "I DON'T REMEMBER THE OFFSET OFF THE TOP OF MY HEAD BUT THEY WOULD'NT WORK ON THE FRONT OF A STOCK FRONT SUPS. I BUILT A FULL FRAME FOR THE CAR AND USED THE STOCK LOWER CROSS MEMBER WITH THE FACTORY RACK STEERING AND LOWER CONTROL ARMS. I BUILT THE UPPER A ARMS AND USED COILOVER SHOCKS AND USED STOCK GM SPINDLES THAT WHERE MODIFIED SLIGHTLY"
