I am using the MTi's c2 cam with good luck. I might try something larger down the road but right now I am making 400rwhp with a auto. I will have to look for that magazine.

khashabi1 is using the Corvette mounts on his LS1 swap, he also has the ac mounted in the stock location.
It was nice to have 2 LS1 swaps on the road at the same time.

David, good luck on the swap. Let me know if I can help you. Are you going to make your engine mounts?

I had my car at Tims house, maybe he likes the LS1 now. Just a guess, Tim what are you going to put in that car??????

Looks like a good deal. You have alot of $ in that LT1. Stan try to post some pics if you can.

Phantom put on a LS6 intake, ported TB, and a c2 cam on your LS1 and you will love it.

Mark--I am using a new cam in the motor with some tuning, MY air/fuel was lean on the run 13.4--so I can pick up some more power next time on the dyno.
Quick240 they put the weight in the dyno so you can run a 1/4 mile run, the car was 2580lb last time on the scale.

auxilary is that your car? Looks just like my old Z.

put my car on the dyno Saturday at MSA auto show. Last time I was at the track I was making 346RWHP and I was running 11.4. I will have it back to the track in a few weeks.

Turbo Meister your car is looking good. I just got back from the MSA show(400 miles) It was nice to see everyone but where are all of the other hybridz members??????????

Tom, I had the LT1 before using the JTR mount kit. When I put the LS1 in I put the motor as far back as the JTR does, this way I was able to use the same drive shaft. Good luck with your swap.

Tim, I dyno tuned it with the cc305 cam. I have the program if you ever need it. The cc305 cam is the only cam that I used, the cc304 is a very mild cam and I think that is what 240Z2NV is looking for. To me the cc305 cam was mild, but it made alot of power down low in the rpm.
-
I was using the cc305 cam in my lt1, and it is a good cam. You might want to look into the cc304 also. The cam swap on the LT1 is the best bang for the $$.

Phantom I went 11.7@114 at the track. The next week I went I ported the TB and put on a underdrive pulley, I was able to run 11.4@117 with these mods. My 3rd week at the track I went 11.5@119mph I spun the tires this week. Everyone that I have talked to said that the ported TB is worth 5-7 rwhp. Next month I will take it out with some slicks to get some real times. Right now I am working on the inside of the car--installing dynamat.

Savage42 I just put a Ls1 in my car. It took me 4 weeks to do the swap, this is spending a few hours a day after work. It can cost you 10-15,000 if you do not do the work. I do not have a shop, just a garage.
This is my cost
Ls1/4l60e $2500
Drive shaft $200
Radiator $200
Fuel system $400
Header $700 you can use stock manifolds--they will fit
Exhaust $200 do it yourselfe or 300-600 at a shop
Mounts $free just make them
Air intake $200
It cost me about $4900 for the swap and it could of been less if I used the stock headers. The Ls1 swap is a very easy swap, it takes about the same time that a LT1 swap takes.
-
The swap can be done for less than 5,000.

That is Johns Car mount kit in the pics.

qwik240z I never got a Pm from you.
I know that Joey was able to fit the sanderson 13/4 headers.

Mike you do not need a 383 to go fast. I went 11.4 with only 345rwhp. With 380rwhp you should run 10's. I want to run 10's with only a 346 motor.
