Good luck with the big block, that motor will not fit in the Z that good. Do you want the Z to handle, or is going to be a drag z?

Joey I have used 2 Slp 160 thermostat and my car will run hot with them. So I gave up on them. I put in the new cam in the LS1 last night, and I took it to the dyno today. 405RWHP
I think that you are going to want a cam for that car soon.

I never had good luck with the single plane manifold with the 350 motors. My old 383 loved the single plane manifold. Are you sure you want to use the 4.11 gears. If I had 4.11's I would run out of gear and my car would run slower. Right now in 3rd I am running 6300 rpm in the 1/4. The 4.11 might help the 350 but the 383 will not need them.

Cyrus, Amir now has all of the suspension, brakes,r230--done on the car. He just got his fender flares done so now he can fit 275/40/17 drag radial in the back. Get your car done and we will plan a track day. I am now setting my car up for a road course, so it might slow me down some in the 1/4 mile.

cyrus, you work very fast on engine swaps. Have you thought about using the camaro gas tank, just like your old car? So how long until we see you at the track again?

Mark, Will the datsun tie rod ends fit to make it the right size. I am going to post some pics of my motor to see if it will clear the motor. It looks like it will be close to the motor. Thanks for the info.

Mark will the WRX rack clear the datsun towers? If you are going to make a new mounts for the LS1 you might want to buy the Corvette mounts from quick240. I know that he bought some but he ended up using Johns mount kit.

Hi Mark, I just ordered my Arizonazcar a-arms today. I am looking at doing the WRX power steering also, but it looks like the WRX shaft will be in the way with the datsun engine tower. how far are you with the WRX swap?

Dave I spoke to you on Tuesday about buying some control arms. I have the R230 in my 240z I will try and take some pics this week of it. If you make the MB for the r230 it would sell good. (I WANT ONE).

I was looking on his web site and I saw this new item. Looks like a good deal for only $229. I hope that Dave will make a mount for the R230 also.

Thanks for the info on the Rough rule of thumb. I think that I can get my 60' down into the 1.4 range with some good tires. I am going to wait for the flare's before I buy my new tires. Scottie what size tires did you run?

Scottie I already bought the new cam for the car, so I have to use it now. I think that the car is making the power if I can get it to hook up. Right now I can not give it full throttle until 2nd gear.
(Your numbers are dead-on and with a gain 25.8mph in the 2nd half) Is this something that i should look at, The gain from the 1/8 to the 1/4?

Mike I think that I need to get my MPH in the 124 and it will run a 10. I am going to install a new cam and do some more dyno tuning.

I took the Z out to Sacramento race park today. I found out that I need slicks now. I had to take it easy in 1st gear, but I got some good times.

I can not believe how many LS1 swaps are in the works now. You almost never here about the LT1 now. Good luck on the swap David, the ls1 swap is now an easy swap.

I want to buy some panasport rims for my z. I found the modle that I like but I donot know where to buy it or what the modle # is. Can some one please tell me the best place to buy this model. They are 17"x7.5 wide

Terry with a 275/50/15 drag radial you should be able to get your 60' in the 1.5 range. You have the mph to run 11's. Have you ever tried a roller cam?

I put in a 302 in my old 280 before, good motor. I like the LS1 alot more than the LT1. The best part about the 302 swap is the price. Put on a set of heads and a good cam in the 302 and then you will love it. I am also looking for a FRC 99-00 corvette, I test drove one last night but it was junk.

Just got back from the track in Sacramento raceway. We had 2 Ls1 240z cars out there. Before the track I put in a larger cam in hopes of better times. I took it to the dyno and made 405rwhp but my torque was low. The low torque was not good at the track at all, looks like I need to put in the old cam.
