  1. The programming is the best part of the LT1. I could never go back to a carb motor.
  2. Tim just program it out using your tunercat. I took it off on my ecu.
  3. Anything past 350rwhp you are pushing 90% duty cycle. When I was at the dyno they had charts of lt1's on the dyno, all of the 360rwhp + cars where running the 30lb. Tim you are running a stock motor you should be making about 270RWHP. Put some heads and cam in it. Mike
  4. Tim I had my LT1 on the dyno with the stock 24lb injectors and the 30lb. They both made the same power. The 24lb injectors are good up to 350RWHP. Mike
  5. 80LT1 I had Sanderson make the headers. I tried some of the in stock headers and then took them back and had them make changes. All of the LT1 wiring was taken out of the car, and the new LS1 harness went in. It was just like starting over.
  6. ON3GO the battery is a odessy drycell, very light.
  7. JKDGabe The only hold back on the swap was the headers. The LS1 swap is just like the LT1 swap with the only diff is that you have to make some mounts. Sanderson are now going to make the headers that I have on my car. Cyris old 240z ls1 now has the same set of headers on his car. John now owns the car. qwik240z I have a wife also, I just spend about 1-2 hours every night on it.
  8. I will post some pics on Wednesday(JKDGabe I like the signs). I hope to be at the track in the next 1-2 weeks. I thought that the LS1 would take more time, but they are a very easy swap. Mike
  9. Today I was able to start the motor. Stan (240Z2NV) was over for the start up. I let it run for about 10 min so that I could fill the radiator up all of the way. Now all I have left on the swap is to put the exhaust back on. A few more days and there will be one more LS1 Z on the road. Mike
  10. I will have my LS1 at the track in about 2 weeks for some times. My car is already set up for the track so we can see some real LS1 vs LT1 times. Mike
  11. 73TPIZ looks like some nice work. Whay did you change to a solid axle? Mike
  12. Tim what are you doing about the inner stops? I am using some on my R230. I am going to help khashabi1 (JOHN) tonight put his new R230 axle's together.
  13. My car is up in the air for about 4 more days. Right now I am waiting for my Headers. Let me know if you need to see it. Mike
  14. Looks good Mike. Are you going to be at Sears point anytime soon? Mike
  15. nsadhal, I also had a 1989 CRX that I put in a B18a into it. You can not compare this swap with the Datsun v8 swap. All of the wiring from the d16 motor just bolts onto the new b18a/b motor shorten the shifter and bolt it in. The Honda's are very easy swaps, The V8 swap can be done just remember that it will take you alot more time and $$ than the Honda's. If I was you I would go with the LT1 with the JTR mounts, this should take you about 3-8 months for your 1st time doing this kind of swap. Goodluck Mike
  16. I drilled my R200 bar and it was not fun. The MB is made of some very hard metal. Even with a drill press it was not fun, take it to a machine shop. Mike
  17. maichor it is from Camaro. It was too long so I had to cut it, but it works good. Sanderson just called and my headers are ready. Mike
  18. The LT1 was pulled out on January 10th And I started making the LS1 mounts on January 11th. So I am 16 days into the swap, so far everything has been ok. Mike
  19. MistaFosta not running yet I am waiting on my headers. My headers should be done next week. Intake parts. Air flow systems inc http://www.airflo.com Reducing elbow--take you from the 4" TB to the 3.5"Mass air #90hl40r35 $26.69 bellow connects the mass air to the 3.5" mandrel inlet pipe #3h35 $14.20 I bought the 3.5" mandrel bend from Magnumforce in San Jose Telephone - 408-559-6633 $28.95 LS1 Z I am using a 4l60e trans and also using the stock shifter off of the LS1. Boyde over at Sanderson is making my headers I donot know if they will fit the Johns car kit, I think he mounts the motor forther forward. About 2 weeks left and it will be on the road.
  20. Can some one tell me what year or part # they used for the radiator hose on the LS1. The search is not working tonight. Thanks Mike
  21. I am using the Adapters from Tim's machinist. I have been using them for 5 months now, they work very good. I will put them to the test again with the LS1 in a few weeks. Thanks Tim Mike
