  1. Your diff is too far over. I will give you a call 9:30am so you can take a look at mine. Mike
  2. If you need to see how a r230 front mount is done, I am in Concord.
  3. I was using block huggers when my LT1 z was running 11's. You should be ok with them.
  4. You can use the S&S headers for the LT1 they are 13/4 full length. They hand down low but they fit. I have a set here if you need a pick. Mike
  5. Don how long will the swap take you. Did you dyno your car with the carb? Im sure that you will dyno it with the efi using a WBO2.
  6. I never did have problems with my optispark. When I put in a new cam I also put in a new optispark $220 from Summit. I never drove my car in the rain either. As long as you have the vented opti then you will be ok.
  7. That is good new about the REF. I did not know that they would pass the obd2 motor swaps. What did it take for the other guy to pass. Let me know when you are in town so that I can see your car. Mike
  8. I am using a regulator mouted at the fire wall, all of the extra fuel is sent back to the tank. The fuel set up for the LS1 is not that hard, just take time to get the right parts. The only reason that GM put the reg back by the tank was to cut down on emmisions. I wanted to have the return close to the motor so that the fuel is a little cooler. Thanks for the info.
  9. When I built my new garage insulation was a must, I used r13 in the walls and r30 up top.
  10. I took the headers back to sanderson and they are going to make a new set up that will clear everything better. They fit the way they come but it is very close, so I want a set made just for the Z-car. I am going to have it made in 13/4 tube.
  11. qwik240z I am going to pull the motor one more time and I will take some close up shots. When are you going to start your LS1? Brad-ManQ45 they are the same rubber mounts that JTR uses. I should have it on the road in 3-4 weeks.
  12. This is the driver side, the motor is lifted up about a 1" so I can take it back off to paint. Alternator mounted up high, custom mounts.
  13. 73BOTIZ The R230 is ok it was just the bushings and the MB that broke. Last night I made some mounts for the alternator to mount up top. Works good I only had to trim the plastic cover.
  14. Fuel Injection Fittings to Fit Chevrolet LT-1, LT-4 & Ls 1 made from aluminun billet to -6AN will snap on stock rails. Part # Price # 5800 $39.95 pair call them Pure Choice Motorsports 2155 W. Acoma Blvd. Lake Havasu City, AZ 86403 (928) 505-8355 tech line & fax line (888) 505-8355 order line I hope this helps
  15. maichor do you have the LS1 on the road? It looks like you have a very big project on your hands with that hole car.
  16. I started making some brakets to mount my alternator in about the same place you have yours. The only problem that I found was that I had to take off the pladtic cover on the back of the alternator. Does that mount move the alternator out and towards the radiator? Thanks for the info.
  17. Guy I will look up the part # and post it for you. Mike
  18. My Wife stoped by Sanderson and picked up some headers to test fit. The 13/4 sanderson driver side fits good but not the pass side. But the other headers from the other box will fit the pass side very good, but it is a 15/8 header. I am going to buy the same kind for the pass side but in 13/4. Take a look.
  19. My mounts are nothing like the ones that everyone else makes. The nice part about it is that you do not have to put in a new x-member. They look just like the JTR mounts and they bolt right to the factory X-member. I will post pics up on them in a few days.
  20. You can just run a 6 an hose to the fuel rail. All you need is a quick disconnect to 6an adapter.
  21. I am going to mount the alternator on the top pass side. The only thing that I had to do to miss the steering gear was to rotate the ex flange some. I took off the ac last night on the motor, I never had AC so it is ok. Phantom I am going to just spend the $550 for the LS1edit so I can change anything that I want on the ecu at anytime. Down the road I want to put on heads and cam, so I will need the program for the dyno. Headers, I will find out tonight if the fit.
  22. I made the mounts for the swap. Took about 3 hours to make. The end of my transmission ended up in the same place as my LT1 engine/trans with the JTR mounts.
  23. 80lt1 I know I only had the LT1 in my car for 9 months. I love the LT1 but I think that I could make more power with the LS1. I just put on the factory manifolds on and they fit, but I am going to try a set of Sanderson headers on Monday. If the Sandersons do not fit then I will go back to the factory manifolds.
