  1. veritech... that link is for putting 280zx brakes on a first gen Z so it doesn't apply. i dont remember the size of the spacer but it is available from http://www.modern-motorsports.com ... you might be able to email Ross C at MM and ask what size the spacer is, if you plan on maching it yourself or getting them made local. i will say his spacers are perfectly machined and have amazing craftsmanship as i put them on my car not long ago. i highly recommend just purchasing them from him for convenience sake. http://www.modern-motorsports.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=22&products_id=48 this is where you can order them at.... just change the options at the bottom and you can make it so you just order the spacers hope that helps a little Kevin
  2. Alright so who's gonna make the first replica of this ferrari... lol Definately a different kind of car. I kind of like the whole front end but the back is at least out of character for a normal ferrari http://www.supercars.net/cars/3181.html
  3. if i recall right i believe his rear flairs were custom but im not sure you would have to ask zr8ed to be sure actually i just found an old post saying they are custom http://forums.hybridz.org/showpost.php?p=323074&postcount=27 Keivn
  4. it was a 2 hour special on the history of the motorcycle... it was featured as a groundbreaking design... styling wise and engineering/design... amazing bike Kevin
  5. finally got the wheels on the car permanently ... got back from collegeand had some extra cash so i got the suspension, brakes, and wheels all squared away... all thats left is the engine unfortunately i didnt have the cash to upgrade the rear brakes to rotors yet this all fits perfectly under stock fenders with stock perches.... its really a tight fit in the front and a small spacer was needed for the rear.
  6. britten v1000 motocycle engine... saw it on history channel today cool frameless design Kevin
  7. ive had a saturn for the past 4 years and it is actually pretty reliable... i have no complaints other than the complete lack of style... mine is a 96 sl2... i got the car when i was 16 and im 20 now.... this car should have blown up a long time ago considering how much this car was ragged on when i was 16... i'm more mature now and the car is plenty reliable... ive put 60k miles on it.. got it at 55k.... if you just looking for a run of the mill daily driver it will do the trick.... it isnt the most comfortable ride though.... a few squeaks and such. kevin
  8. i have the stock looking fiberglass hood from unlimited and it was allright... nothing special... it had a few pin holes that i had to fill and i had to reinforce the hinge mounts with metal backing and such.... that wont be a problem if you are gonna use hood pins though. I dont know if they take anymore care with the cowl hoods but seeing as they are more than twice as expensive as the one i got, id imagine they would... the one i have i would probably give it a 7 on a scale of 1-10.... overall fit was good though. Kevin
  9. mikelly, how much space do you have in the rear with the coilovers.... i still have stock spring perches and im not sure if itll still fit in the rear with all these compliments, im gonna have to do the 5 lug swap and throw these on. thanks kevin
  10. my brother got new rims for his bullitt so i immediately pondered with the idea putting them on my car. tell me what you think... i still need to hunt down some front hubs. all i need are the front hubs from a 300zx and these should fit... right? i know i have to change my brake setup as well too
  11. basically my car will start but it wont continue to run after starting. im stumped... fuel pressure is like 35psi... but i have an n/a pump cause my MSD pump broke on me and this is my temporary solution. it will run slightly longer if i hold the key in the start position but dies right afterwards unless i have the pedal to the floor and then still ultimately dies. Any help is appreciated. Kevin
  12. well im getting 12 volts on the negative and positive side of the coil and im getting 12 volts at the coil wire to the distributor. alright well i tried cleaning the contacts at the CAS connector but still no luck.... the negative side of the coil isnt pulsing while cranking so im assuming the CAS is messed up so i guees its time for a new distributor.. Anyone have an extra turbo distributor they are willing to sell? Kevin
  13. im checking spark before it even gets to the coil... the coil is brand new so that is not the problem... the problem is that im not getting a signal on the Y/W wire from the ecu to the ignitor to make the coil fire... its supposedly suppose to pulse while cranking. i've tried two computers now.... the first one worked orignally and then next thing i knew spark stopped for no apparent reason... so i thought maybe my ECU went out so i put in a different one and still no luck.... ive actually got another one coming that i bought off ebay.... maybe i just had two bad ecus.... is there anythign specail that needs to be done to an Automatic transmission ECU when used on a manual car? cause i only have autmatic ECUs but have one for a manual on the way And ill have to double check the connection to the distributor wheni get home. im still hoping its somehting simple that im just overlooking Kevin
  14. well i tried messing with the ignition switch and still no spark... i checked and cleaned all my grounds and still nothing.... anyone else with suggestions... im completely stumped... all help is appreciated Kevin
  15. Alright i have done plenty of searching and cant find anyhitng that pertains to my question. Alright when i first tried starting the motor i got spark... it was consistent .. then shortly after i got my fuel pump wired spark just stopped... i checked the signal wire to the ignitor with a test light and it is not pulsing or anyhting... so assuming the ECU went.... i got another computer hooked it up and still no spark... Everything is wired correctly ... i have checked it numerous times... i just dont get it..... could it be somehitng as simple as a bad ground... nothing has changed since it was orginally getting spark.... any help is appreciated... thanks Kevin
  16. Ive got a 78 280z that im putting back to gether and i couldnt find my original brake line the runs from the neutral pressure valve to the passeneger side brake. I got a line out of a 240z and it seems like it would work but it bypasses the valve in my first picture. i was wondering if i could use the 240z line and leave the valve out of it . or is the valve going to leak through the missiing line. the 240 line is in the 2nd piture and is labeled as #2 thanks kevin
  17. i tried posting this in the fuel delivery forum but didnt get any response and it is turbo related since it came off an old rajay Crown turbo setup.... just seeing if anyone had more insight than i do on it cause im looking to possibly use these in my turbo motor. thanks in advance Kevin
  18. not sure what kind of injector this is or how much it flows just wanted to see if anyone else had any idea. it came wiht a motor i had that was a sort of rigged turbo motor it was an old rayfay BAE setup or somehting
