  6. I have a lead on another diesel crankshaft but again I have to buy the whole engine which is worthless after removing the crank. So It would be around $1000,- to $1100,- shipped to the US.

  8. How many km's did they make? If the seal cut in that deep I asume they have made some km's. I had a couple of LD cranks but there was no ring cut in by the seals.

  12. Forgot about the larger diameter! I did say smal valves because a E31 and E88 have smaller valves. I also have a JDM spec L28 from a Laurel or Cedric and this engine has a twin butterfly throttlebody. I think this is a good intak to use than. Now I have to find a camshaft grind with more lift but not more duration. I emailed Delta camshaft but they don't respond so maybe I should try Isky?
  13. I changed to shorter gears and with most driving it is ok but sometimes you just need some more "oomppf" to get thru a mud hole or up a steep hill. And this is where the little L28 has not enough torque. It can't pull it in second gear low range. So if I had about 20% more it would do it already. I'm sure the engine is a F54/N42 with dished pistons, this is how all Patrols came. They are made up to '88 like that.
  14. I have been searching a lot but everyone want maximum horse power from their L series because a Z is a sportscar. I have a Patrol which is powered by a L28 with a single carb. It is ok powerwise but I need more torque. The Patrol L28 is a F54 with dished pistons and N42 head. No I made a plan to have some more torque and EFI and these parts I already have: Flat top pistons (OE) Nissan) Megasquirt 3-2-1 header LD28 intake manifold I plan on using a higher compression so I was thinking a E31 head would be suitable because they have smaller valves which should be better for low down torque. The long runner diesel intake should too (after a EFI flange with injector bungs and a flange for a throttle body is welded on) Am I thinking right?
  15. I'm after a bigger sway bar for my 83 Laurel C31. It has about the same suspension as all RWD Nissan's from the '70's, '80's and early '90's but no aftermarket support because they are very rare in the whole world. I fitted S12 strut rod bushings and S130 sway bar links so I think a lot of parts would fit from different Nissans. Can you guys check and see if a sway bar from a S30 or S130 or Z31 would fit? Or anything you have laying around? Mine is only 18mm thick....
  16. I have one for sale from a Laurel. The Patrol never got the LD28, only the SD33 and later the RD28.
