  1. maybe its an issue with the ducting...

obviously the heater core can't be cooling down as long as your water temp gauge indicates proper temperature....

I think the ducting that opens and closes is malfunctioning.. so when you turn the heater on it might be mixing fresh cold outside air with the warm air that should be sealed from the heater core.

give it a peak?! i dunno just tryin suggestions

  2. I'm sorry to hear about your problems..

I am using an innershield flux core wire on my lincoln welder...

you have to switch the polarity on the power cables. I made to same mistake when I first bought my welder and didn't pay any attention.

NO you didn't damage the welder. flip the connections around and you should be fine.

Flux core wire is perfectly fine for any welding.. obviously thicker metals require gas but you can still get great penetration with flux core.

I think its a complete waste of money to buy or rent a bottle and fill it up with gas to weld up an exhaust.

  3. So I've been designing plans to make a welding table and work bench and I've been contemplating on the materials I should use..

I can build the frame out of angle iron or square tubing... then I started thinking...

Could I build a frame out of small exhaust tubing?! I mean round tubing is much stronger then square tubing... and ALOT cheaper if I go to my local muffler shop.

For the table top I was thinking maybe 11g sheet metal... but is there anything wrong with this idea?!

Oh.. POST pics of benches you've made!!!

  4. Ummm. I already posted such strategy 5 post ago

What you posted said the following :

People who wait in line for those sales are idiots (I apologies if I offend anyone). I buy everything the week of.

1:The flyer is out on sunday, so you can see what stuff is on sale and at how much.

2:By the time beginning of thanksgiving week, everything is on the sales floor.

3:Most of the big name stores offer price matching.

So I just go to where ever I bought my crap with the receipt and just go to the customer service and just have them pay me back the difference. This year I just went there at like 9 or 10. It was busy, but not insanely busy and I was out the door with my cash in about 15 min.

The ads do not come out on sunday.. they come out on THANKSGIVING day! the day before the sales!!

I've never seen black friday ads come out a week before the sales!

  5. Here is a better plan

    1) Go to websites such as bfads.net (black friday ads . net)

Employees will sneak out black friday ads and scan them and list the products for sale and door busters!!

    2) BUY the product before black friday at full retail

    3) Walk in with your receipt sometime after black friday or later during that day. Virtually every company has a price match guarantee... such as.. If the product goes in sale within 30 days of the purchase they will refund you the difference!

    4) Get the difference back and avoid the stupid long lines and freezing cold.

    5) Enjoy

  6. I've been having issues with my fairly new Tilton 3/4" clutch master cylinder..

When I press the pedal down I have firm pressure all the way down to the floor. I've noticed while I'm sitting at a stop light I am loosing pressure and after lets say 40 seconds the master cylinder will loose almost all pressure.

I can let up on the pedal and you can hear brake fluid being sucked up into the cylinder and then I have full pressure again!

I've tried bleeding the hell out of the setup without any changes.

I've also noticed I can press the pedal to the floor and slowly slowly slowly let up on the pedal. About 3/4 on the way UP I can hear the same noise. The noise of brake fluid being sucked or squeezed in/out of the master cylinder.

    Any ideas?!

  7. So I can run the stock tranny, stock flywheel?, stock FPR, stock fuel pump for now?

What does everyone think about flywheel/clutch upgrades?

    What about the ebay intercoolers?

Yep.. stock transmission, stock flywheel, stock FPR and stock fuel pump!!

You can upgrade but its not necessary. In regards to the flywheel/clutch combo.. I'm very happy with my ACT setup, a lot of people on this board are running clutch masters and spec clutches.

ebay intercoolers are fine. tons of people are running the turbo xs ebay units and they haven't had any complaints. i'm running an old isuzu npr intercooler, I would love to upgrade personally to a $90 ebay unit lol

  8. well well!!

    Congrats on the new purchase!!

I'm a local colorado guy with virtually exact matching specs.

If you want to get an idea on how the car drives with the L28eT and new cam and HY35 let me know!! I can show ya my car and answer any questions for you!!

I happen to have a spare EDIS setup and a spare 225mm flywheel and 240mm flywheel if you need any parts I can hook ya up!!

As for the Aeromotive FPR you dont need it. Megasquirt will work fine with the factory FPR.

You don't need an MSD fuel pump.. I'm using the factory 1978 fuel pump and I am running 18psi.. no fuel issues with my 440cc injectors.

As for intercooler piping I have some spare pipes when I was moking up some pipes from a friend.. so most of the bends are taken care of.. I can weld them up for you.

A T5 transmission isn't necessary.. Big Phil eventually blew his stock 5-speed up but he was running like 25psi.. with 18psi I wasn't having any issues. Anymore power I would probably upgrade.. always safe. But not necessary.

Shoot me a PM and ill give ya some contact info =)
