  1. Yes it is known by many different names. I am looking for a 2jzgte but i think that others might like a little more info. and some background before they get one.
  2. I was looking around and didn't see a thread for front cuts so i decided to post one. I have a few questions regarding the process and the company you used. What did you get and the total cost? (The cut and shipping price or other costs) Would you recommend the company? (If so contact info, web site) How long was the process? (From placing the order, shipping, to delivery) Any other suggestions or tips? I really think this will help with swaps not only for us but other sites as well.
  3. WOW i am excited for the PCM! that is the biggest worry...... but every time it seems to happen kevin delivers! what about other guages???
  4. LOL ....... so true there are ALOT of them out there...... but the thing is to get an 06+ head and PCM. but thats only half the battle getting it to fit...... thats the challange! and there is a bigger market for the I5...... it has supercharger and turbo kits...... maybe a little modding and we can get them to work!
  5. i like the turbo on the Hummer..... thats nice. the sad thing is that GM killed the trailblazer/ envoy that the 4.2 was in...... so i guess down the road the I6 will be hard to get and the I5 will be the swap to have.......
  6. wow I like the look! it fits in there pretty good. do you think you will have to change the front sump?? most of the people that have done swaps have taken two I5 Colorado oil pans and made it rear sump with some welding. you might even shorten it a little to shave some height...... as far as the alternator you could move it to the power steering side and replace it w/ a pulley. what tranny are you using??? I have been looking for one that would mount to the bell housing. just my .02.... but it looks great. gets me thinking.
  7. WOW that looks SWEET!! i would be down for this setup...... it looks like you have great plans and lofty goals. i am excited to see the outcome of this project. great work!
  8. Check with the guys on the trailblazer/envoy forums they have 2 guys that have done swaps, one into a Jeep and the other into an old GMC truck. they have some good info. try to get a 06' or newer because of the new head. and the 08' have a better PCM for turbo. Good news for doing the swap the botom end on this is estimated to take around 500hp....... Kevin any idea on how much power the TB's will get out of the engine?
  9. Blueovalz i would kill for a kit to do this! Its EXACTLY what i want for mine!!!! (not the lights.......) perfect amount of flair nice dual exhaust i love the look great job! you get props from me for the BEST ever!
  10. i think i will do a 6-2-1........ but still not sure on lay out...... we need an Expert!!!
  11. i have a friend with extra pipe. so i am working with what i have........ and i might just do a single pipe. thanks for the info!
  12. I have looked over many different choices of layouts for headers. but what works and sounds the best for a 2.5in dual exhaust??? i have seen just about every layout. the half and half 123/456 and then some do cross overs 124/356, 126/345, 146/235, ect..... i think you get the point. are there any experts here? what would the benefits of one or the other be..... or am i just worried about nothing.... thanks for the help!
  13. no problem. i am big on sharing information. 2 heads are better than one right? how much HP do you think you would gain with just the stock 4200? that might influence some to buy.......
  14. This is AWESOME! i have been doing research and decided on this swap about 3 months ago. i thought it hadn't been done.....i am very excited to see that someone has the same idea. it would be an amazing engine and it keeps the straight six heart that the Z stands for. any way i am looking forward to an update and to see what options you went with. also i am letting the guys at the Trailvoy threads know about the ITB's they will love to have some options.
