  1. I wonder if anything ever happend with this or if anyone has tried this?
  2. Long time since I've been on this website because of my other car. But browsing 300zx websites I have figured out Jim Wolf Technologies now makes a swap kit for use of a 350z 6 speed on a 300zx. How this kit works is it uses a 300zx z32 automatic bell housing and a custom adapter to mate the 300zx automatic bellhousing to the 350z 6speed manual gearbox. Crazy. But what I have reasoned out is. The bolt pattern on the 300zx manual and automatic bellhousing is the same. If I used one of 240hokes l28et to z32 transmission adapters, had a 300zx AUTOMATIC bell housing machined back, then use JWT 6 speed gearbox adapter, then the only missing piece would be a custom driveshaft and transmission mounts. I do not have the money or the time to do this project but I figured I would post up this idea and hopefully someone will try it out! -Nick
  3. Im not too big on ceramic coating parts... Due to the metal inside a ceramic coat makes it VERY prone to rusting. Powdercoating is the way to go...
  4. Is this dealership in the ghetto? Also did the wheels have locking lug nuts?
  5. Updated picture... Dusty, 1-1.5" lower, new clutch(holds 550whtq)
  6. Interesting... Curious to see pictures of how well it fits on the car after it has been installed.
  7. Yes post some pictures, show everyone what you have done.
  8. Dont buy any that have been "custom" drilled on a new rotor. They are prone to cracking. Try to find one that has been CAST with holes in it. But besides that point, slots have been proven to be more effective and safer.
  9. MAybe I will make an appearance in the video. I was at the ZCON in TN last year... I remember them filming.
  10. Btw that clip is retarded. Its funny how people always talk **** but end up heading out to the midnight showing "so they can talk more ****" Haha.
  11. I was just looking at these rims the other day... I would get 18x9.75
  12. Very good movie! Not very many car racing scenes. Next to none in the street racing department. But all the action and the good plot made up for it! Money well spent IMO.
  13. Lol... before you get flamed... www.modernmotorsports.com theres a start
  14. I havent asked for a quote on how much it would be to make a bracket. But say $400 middle of the row rotors, $200 labor/materials for the bracket... that would be $600 for me and I already have calipers for free.
  15. Haha with that brake setup you would have to run AT LEAST an 18" rim. Better fit with a set of 19's.
  16. Nope on a 240sx. The caliper fitment will be the same though, how it is close to the rim.
  17. Some pictures of z32 calipers w/ rims. Notice how close the caliper is to the rim. I think it looks really good, some might not like that. ^That is the late model iron caliper off of the 93-96 the two pistons take a more distinct mold on the caliper. z32 brake rotor vs 350z track rotor ^That is the early Aluminum caliper off of the 91-93 early
  18. Its really all about setup. Remember converting to 350z track rotors you have to run at least a 17" rim. Also must select a proper rim(usually low offset) that will clear the brake caliper which is scooted close to the rim. If you want to run smaller rims big brake rotors probably arent for you.
  19. Also want to say. The Iron late model calipers are more desirable, pretty sure they said somewhere that they are more resistant to fade than the aluminum ones. Even though the aluminum ones are lighter.
  20. If you use the massive 350z track rotors you have to convert to 5 lug.(a good 1"+ bigger in diameter than z32 brakes/like 1.5"+bigger than z31 brakes)Also on the rear your going to have a hard time finding a 4 lug rotor thats vented enough(thick enough) for the z32 rear caliper to clamp. More brake rotor options, not only that but more wheel options as well.
  21. Also want to say the 370z stock brakes are HUGE. But expensive right now... maybe in like 10 years will get cheap.
  22. Little offset are you referring to using pentagon hubs bolting the rotor behind the hub or slip on rotor such as the 350z track rotor that moves the caliper close to the wheel rim?
  23. Another bracket idea... Use the thick area to mount the caliper and the thin area to bolt on the stock location.
  24. The hat is a tad(half an inch MAYBE?) shallower than a stock z32 caliper(per twinturbo.net). When they swap in a z33 track rotor on z32's it scoots the caliper closer to the rim. Looks really good, but you have to make sure you run a low offset wheel to clear the caliper(shouldnt be a problem for us really anyways)
