  1. I have spent $25,000+ on my 260z and I'm nowhere near done. It doesn seem like much but like the other have said... take the price you figure and times it by four... I only planned on spending 10k MAX. You either go the cheap route and keep it stock and drive it the way it is, or have the passion and money to make it into a street machine... If your not either of those I would look for another car, because as deceptive as it may seem, making a hybrid z costs TONS and TONS of money and TONS and TONS of time.   3. I have purchased the new Haltech Platinum sport 2000(the updated e11v2). Anyone have any base l28et fuel maps? Scotty do will yours work with the platinum 2000?

  5. You could buy a nice turbo for that money....
  6. Just buy the VIS racing kit if thats what you want and if its too weak add some reinforcements on the backside of the kit...

  8. This is starting to make sense... In the past when I have been test driving it, after it had ran alittle while it kept getting hotter and hotter.
  9. I realise the ecu doesnt control boost, have stock electronics though, wouldn't it cause the engine to run lean? I dont think stock 280zxt injectors are made to flow enough for 15 psi? That being said I do have supra injectors, polished n42 intake, JSK fuel rail, and a 60mm 240sx throttle body ready to be installed.
  10. To swap in a RB26dett, you need custom engine mounts, custom tranny mounts, custom driveshaft... To make or have these made can run into $$. And not doing the work yourself will run into alot of labor. It can be done its all about how much your wanting to put into the car...
  11. Thats the thing... the controller is set at 12 but yet it still pushes 14.4. I have checked what the controller is set at numerous times and it still says 12, and if i set it back to 10 psi it still pushes 14.4.
  12. I have an o2 sensor but not a wideband... So the turbo can push 15 psi, now I'm trying to figure out how it is doing it on stock electronics, because if I understand correctly, the stock ecu cant manage high boost (10+ psi), also how does the stock AFM meter 15 psi?

  14. Well I've been pulled over in the 300zx twice. Once for taillights and the other time for "street racing" Me and my friend was messing around at night on the interstate and an off duty cop saw us wizz past. He says he "toped out" his suv to catch up to us. Me and my friend pulled off on this exit and he followed us, he tried to get up beside us to pull us over and my friend "accidentally" ran him off the road. He said he didnt see him but I dunno, I stayed in the same lane. He then chased down my friend and yelled for him to shut off his vehicle and that he was calling backup... He came back to my car and said that I was streetracing and going well over 100... (accually only going 95... but it was in a 55). He has no proof, takes us to court, I get a slap on the wrist and a traffic school referral.
  15. On stock electronics?! The only thing I have added to a completely stock l28et is an intercooler and a BOV...
  16. It is peaking and holding at 14.4 psi usually, but has seen 15 psi once or twice. And yes, it is the expensive digital boost controller guage aem sells that im using...
