  1. Thank's, I will work and see if its possible.I should be going to the shop sometime next week.I just saw the tire and thought it was too tall. Do you have any problems when you heat the tires @ the track or just on the road bumps?

Hey all, I received some Hoosier Slicks to use when Drag Racing.This are the 26 x 9.5 x 15......I looked around for a 15 x 8 with a 5'' back spacing wheel and did not liked most of the ones I have seen.I went to a shop that sells the Sportmax 002, I know there are 0 offset and do not fit.The guy @ the shop said he will roll my fenders and trim the rear of the wheel to get the offset to clear if its just off by a little. Also this tire seems to high,My car is lowered like 2 inches on the rear. Do you guys think itll work?

  4. This was an issue on my swap too.Mike didnt use the JCI tranny mount, He made hes own to lower the tranny a little.

Thanks Joey, Well on my exhaust I see it could still go up atleast half an inch.I have not had a problem with the paper gaskets yet ( i have like 65 miles on them) I will go to hoover sometime next week so they can chage them and see if they will raise my exhaust a little.........The sound is great but definetly not for a daily driver. We got some quotes for wheels yesterday and they are $250 a piece.We are going to search a little more.We are going with a full slick.
  6. I dont know how much I ended up spending, The engine did colst me $8800 alone.I dont keep track of the money I spend, I do save tha receips so maybe some day I will added up.If I guess maybe around 20k.
  7. I have recently changed my A-arms and, I got a clunk noise on bumps too.I cheked my strut assembly and everything was fine.It turned out to be the ungreased bushings.I have the AZC A-arms.
  8. I bought my engine from e-bay,It was one f the first lot available.It came with 400hp. It drives nice but I still need to take it to the aligment. I'm trying to put some miles so I can get it dyno tuned asap.I need to order the wheels and tires for the strip sometime next week.I call you for the specs on the tires, Wheels are 15 x 8 with a 5'' backspacing right? Festiva is down for now' date='The main turbo seal gave up and im getting white smoke,I have an extra turbo laying somewhere + an engine.I just dont have much free time now.I should start working on it next week. I am enjoying the ride, I have always enjoyed riding this car.I drove it to work today and I got on it on 3rd gear @ 1900rpm to 4100rpm on like a little over half throttle.I can see its going to be fast. I will drive my car on summertime.I hope can drive it that long without any main issues.
  9. I put over 20 miles on the Z today,It feels like everything is in place.Minus the Exhaust wich is to low,It hit on a bad road and a speed bump.   10. I was just looking @ the date I purchased my LS2 and its been over a year now.The car is drivebable now but still need small things.Hopefully I will get to drive it on the road this week. Good luck on your project!
  11. I have a cam 228"/230" .576"/.595" 114LSA, JTR headers,Aluminum driveshaft,3'' to a 3 1/2'' mandrell ment echaust,light crank pulley,no A/C, no power steering pump,3 1/2'' k&n filter.....I believe thats it.
  12. We have to drive the car a bit before it will go to the dyno, We are hoping for a little over 400 hp. to the wheels. Ill get video sometime this week!

We have been working alot on the Z this past week and finally its drivable.We took it for drive and it feels very nice.I had to change the a-arms to AZC.The stock ones were not clearing the mooser axles.I was going to intsll some rear disk brakes from a 300zxtt but I didnt like how the guy made the brakets.Gauges are done minus the tem and oil presure(my cousin used the stock wiring harness from the Z on the gauges).It will go to the aligment shop before we drive it anywere. Here are some over all pictures of everything we worked on.I still need to clean all the wires........

  16. Now I spotted a white 240Z with a old vette engine it sounds great,I talked to the guy but I guess we were both rushing to get to work so it was just for a minute.He live close to me saw him pulling out of hes garage.
  17. I always see a 240Z in the willow glen area the plate reads 240Z V8, is the owner in this forum or do any of know him?
  18. I'm not 100% sure if its the left side where you supposed to use the camaro mount to fit this kit.Since I didnt see you mention it, This might be what you need.

I know they have drag radials for a 16'' from 245 and up sizes, The problem is that the wheel has been modified from the center section so I dont think it will clear the fenders.I will use some 15 x 8 wheels when going to the track, I just wanted this to be my provisional street wheels. I'm just going to pass on this deal.
  21. Thanks guys, I will do coilovers in a near future and I will get some 17'' with the 245/45/17 drag radial. I just had the guy offer this to me and I said why not run them for now. Well Looks like im not keeping them, Too bad they are really nice! No curb rash @ all and the tires are almost new.I was going to use two tires for the front and save the other two. I have the 225 on my 17's so there is no reason for me to get this. If anyone is interested Let me know.The price is $650 wheels and tires.
