Im going to give it my thought's, I'm very happy with my Z if I had the chance to start over I would do it again and again.My brother bought a 240Z to do the same but got disapointed on how louder it is over the Z and other differences.Don't get me wrong we are used to 280Z's I guess.The 240Z has a lighter body and the addvantage of not requiring smog......Well since I own the 280Z and know how long and how much,I told him not to start this project due to being similar as mine.I told him to get something else like a 04 ZO6 or something similar add some kind of boost,set up the suspencion and enjoy it.... I'm thinking about buying a modern sports car after the Z is done,I want all the gooddies from today, even though you can run a cruise control,Navigation system on your old Z its always going to feel different... So I think I just said have them both....lol Edit:I drive traffic speed and I pulled on a C6 not long ago.....

Hey, Nice to hear your shooting for 11's, My brother and I are working on swapping the Turbo from the Lancer MR into the festiva.I'm also thinking of going with megasquirt so I can take the boost to like 22 lbs.This should be good for like 300 whp,Some say the engine can take the power to 350 but tranny is only good for 250 on a 323, I guess well be ok since the festiva is lighter. Traction should be a big problem, We are now @ around 210 to 220 flywheel and it spins all first and part of second with the 20x6x14 slick. I really want to finish it so I can line My Z vs. The festiva from a roll that is,There is no way a festiva will take a modded Z from a dig.

Are you running 91 octane?

Hi, I have always had the idea of a Datsun 620 or a Hardbody with a sr20det,I saw one for sale a long time ago and loved it.AWD sound like a great idea too!!.....I would just work on some dragradial's or even a minitub to get traction and save weight. Hey Mike, We still have the reading issue on the RPM's, The shifter location make's it hard to shift,I will solve this issue next week,I will make the whole shifter so it will sit like an inch and a 1/4 back,Ask John He got distracted bad when he drove the car..

Just wanted to add info about the oil going into the intake on LS2's,I had my TB,Manifold ported by Jeremy Formato last month and when we took the intake out there was oil in there,My engine had about 1500 miles. We did plugged the PCV system and replaced the oil plug with a breather.Jeremy told me this would work better than running a catch can,he has been running his corvette and his silverado like this for a while.However i'm not sure if it work's better or not but im taking the risk. 04 GTO's were LS1's, so it must of been a 05. When I went to dynotune the LS2 Z there was a 04 with a magna charger putting 451 whp with the final tune.When the tuner drove my car,He said The Z felt way faster than that GTO! Can't wait to go to the track and get some times!!

My car has seen lots of progress after I log in the garage section,I have been trying to edit/upload pictures and can't figure it out either.

My LS2 Z was just finish,At least to drive it on the streets......I have a Ford Festiva with a Mazda GTX/Mercury Capri 1.6 engine Swap.I have all the bolt ons with a chip.It's making like 190 whp on a 1866 lbs. car. I think im getting about the same gas milage out of both cars.It's hard to keep your foot off the gas on a turbo vehicle. On the LS2 Z its hard to go full throttle!

You just described an LS1 right there, Too bad you dont want to go V8... Someone close to him take him for a ride,He might change he's mind!!!!
