Do you have a picture with the front bumper on a stock body?

Im looking for the type III MSA front bumper pictures. All I can find is pictures of the entire body kit. Looking for just the front bumper on a stock body.

So you had a 750cfm on a rebuilt 350(bored .40 over), on stock heads and cam, and you were pushing over 400hp?!?!?

When the time comes, I wont have the money for the wonderful LS1. I had plans to buy a complete from the junk yard and put atfermarket heads, cam. Mabey down the road a stroker. I will go with carb because I know nothing about wiring. How are these 350's carbed? Are they worth there weight-power when not being fuel injected?

How are the 350's carbureted? Im not very savy with wires so I may go with a carb setup if I go 350. a 302 would be EFI because I know someone to do the wiring.

So the 200lbs wouldnt be enough to make you go SBF? I have a friend that just ran a 13.8 on a stock 302 in a 3500lb car. With his 75 shot, he is at 12.4. One of these in a 2700lb car would probably break mid 12's on motor alone.

I am building a 280z. I am a good while away from swapping in a v8 but I would curious about a few things. What would a 280z do in the 1/4 mile with a stock 350? Also, I was debating on a 302 swap. Mabey a 347 stroker kit for it. The 302 is almost 200lbs lighter then the SBC 350. Why did you guys go with the 350?

I agree, I have heard nothing but good things about it. I am actually going to use that. I do however need a good protective coating. Is the 3m stong or is it a rubberized(scrape off with fingernail) coating?

Im going to start body work on my z within the next week. Trying to decide what color I want. There really isnt a color that I DONT want. Im just trying to pick from a few of my favorites Though it might be a good thread for the search feature also. Post a picture of your z with the color code.

I dont have road salt down here. Im really looking for something durable, rust preventive, and looks really good. I will give the 3M a shot.

I also have my entire car lined with the roofing peel and seel stuff from Lowes. I checked at audio places before buying and this stuff is identical material. The one I got wasnt double sided adhesive. It has the foil like the audio ones. This stuff was $12.00 a roll and the car took 4 rolls. This stuff sticks like crazy! I assume adhesive is the make or break thing when it comes to sound dampening. I couldnt peel this stuff off after I put it on!!! Also, temperature should never be an issure as this stuff is made for roofing repairs....

Does your key come out mid way also?

I'm not sure which position to pull the key out and I think its causing my battery to die. I can pull the key out mid way or I can turn it as far as it will go to the left and the key still comes out. Which one is it?

My 280z restoration is limited to what I can do at home with basic homeowner tools. I would like to undercoat it while im in the process of restoring all of the suspension. It will have to be smooth enough for spraying out of a cheap spray gun. Needs to have strong adhesion, good rust prevention and durability. What are some popular undercoats?

Anyone got any idea?

The battery is new. Mabey a month old. I just went and jump started it. I let it run a few seconds. When I unplug the jumper cables, the engine revs down and starts a puddering motion. I jumped in the car to give it a little gas and there was noises under the hood that sounded like a light bulb was blowing out(the car doesnt have bulbs in it so its got to be a solenoid or something). Any idea what these noises were? The battery gauge now reads half way so the alternator is working I suppose.

I took off the plastic covers and one of the wires was corroded VERY badly and just crumbled when I touched it. I checked the battery and the battery is dead. Would this bad wire cause the battery to die while the cars not running? I just replaced that wire but havent tried jumping it again. Also, while im at it. I have tried to jump this car off before and when I took off the jumper cables, the car would die. I then jumped it with another car battery and when I removed the connector, the car shut off. Does this mean my alternator is bad or are these cars designed with the battery cables being the main curcait?

I went to start it this morning and got no reading from the battery gauge and car had no power. I figured the battery was dead so I tried to jump it off. When I sat in the Z, I noticed it was smoking really bad from the battery side. It was thoughs two white square boxes in front of the battery(on the firewall). Both were smoking REALLY bad. What are these white boxes and what would this mean?

Im about to start body work on my 280z and im wanting to start gathering parts for the underside of the car. What are some popular,height adjusting shocks on the market for these cars?(76 280z) I want a somewhat stiff ride for performance but comfortable would be nice. Mabey theres a median between the two??? Also, What company sells disk brake conversions? Are there any DIY writeups on homemade parts?

I would pay good money for a 302 swap booklet if it includes wireing for EFI

Do any of you know where I can get a picture of the MSA type 2 bumper and fender flares?Might be a long shot....
