  1. you were absolutely 100% dead on, i had the return and supply lines switched! thanks for the input!
  2. first thing in the morning i will, it's too dark out to do anything on the car right now. i'll keep you posted though.
  3. this would make sense! lol stupid me! thank you sir please forgive my ignorance!
  4. I'M NOT GETTING FUEL PAST THE REGULATOR! there is no fuel through the injectors, i have supply to the regulator, but the regulator is stuck closed.
  5. i can't tell you an exact psi, because i didn't measure it, it is substantial pressure, i have fuel all the way up to the regulator but nothing after the regulator.
  6. sorry, i don't know what style it's called, but i'm not interested in a whale tail spoiler.
  7. just seeing if anyone has anything before i go ahead and order new stuff. need 'em for my '77 280
  8. so reading that bit on wiki, if my engine is air locked i would need to prime my fuel lines? meaning filling them with fuel up to the outlets on the regulator, i've tried constantly turning over the motor to prime them but it hasn't seemed to work. i have my regulator sitting with some wd-40 in all of the inlets/outlets and the vacuum port on the bottom side of it just in case something is siezed. also i do have pretty high fuel pressure before the regulator, when i removed it the pressure shot the fuel all the way to the firewall i think there was probably a better way to relieve the pressure, but i wasn't too worried about it at the time.
  9. it's all stock fuel injection, other than the bae turbo kit, i don't know if the injectors are pulsing, but i have no fuel after the regulator.
  10. okay so the fuel pressure regulator is not letting any fuel through. it must be stuck closed. on to the search button.
  11. on my '77 280 i just replaced the head gasket, it's all back together but when i go to start it i'm not getting fuel to the fire. when i spray starter fluid into the intake it'll run. so i know i hae spark, and i know i have fuel pressure after the fuel filter because when i loosen the hose it'll squirt out. and info as to why i'm not getting fuel into the cylinder? do i need to bleed any air out of the fuel rail?
  12. took off from work an hour early today, got the insurance id cards and ran out to the dmv, the car is officially on the road, i just need to finish putting it back together now.
  13. no drain on the can? also don't you usually have the inlet from the valve cover into the can, and then a line from the can to the intake, before the turbo? at least that's how i usually see them set up. other than that it looks like a quality product, i can't imagine it'd be a cheap part.
  14. wow, i have never seen stick welds done so nicely!
  15. broke a craftsman exyension taking off the last head bolt...
  16. i understand how an engine works, this isn't my first time finding tdc , just my first time working on a nissan motor, i did search, and i even have a manual for the car. and everyone says something about some mark on the cam gear having to line up with a bright link on the chain, but i don't see any markings on the gear lining up with any bright links on the chain. i just wanted to be sure i wasn't going to mess anytrhing up before i took the gear off the cam and pulled the head.
  17. how about a bonneville gxp? or a grand prix gtp? the newer models have v8's in 'em and boy can they scoot. subaurs are also super reliable and fun to drive.
  18. it looks like the crank pulley and degree marks line up, but i don't see anything special lined up on the cam sprocket with the chain? can you give me a hand so i can go ahead with my Head Gasket replacement?
  19. all set to take care of things started to pull things apart to take care of the head gasket a little earlier. before i pull the cam gear i think i have it set to 0*btdc, but looking at the sprocket i don't see anything lined up between any lighter colored links in the chain, is this right?
  20. i've actually found a set of seats out of a prelude that i'll probably put in the car, i'm going to look at them this weekend
  21. are those tubes going to work for mounting your gauges? they seem a little long.
  22. no camaro?! sorry, waste of my time
  23. lol i'm sure you're not going to hear the transmission through the sound of that engine.
