  1. That's what I thought. I've seen the MSA ones and they had these little L shaped brackets on them that all you had to do was bolt to the existing 4 bolts on the hinges on the Z.
  2. Do I even need the secondary valve? Can I perhaps make a blockoff plate for that and disconnect the 1/2" hose? I think that 1/2" hose is supposed to be redirected into the intake no? Since I have the GReddy plenum, I had to run a hose all the way across the engine bay and plumb it back into the intake after the MAF and before the turbo. This is the air regulator from memory. Does this need to be cleaned? I'm totally confused now that it has been a long time. Which one is this again? Is this the secondary valve you took off?
  3. RB25DET - Stock ECU Okay, I can't seem to figure out what is wrong with my car... Fuel Pressure - Good 37 PSI, 40 PSI with motor off Vacuum - Good, No Leaks Water Temp - 81.C Timing - Dead on, 15 Degrees Base Timing O2 Sensor - Jumps around like it's supposed to when it warms up Spark Plugs - Good, What's the proper gap? MAF Voltage - Good ECU - No Fault Codes TPS - Right on Idle - 1100-1200, Can't get that sucker to come down, with the screw all the way in that's the lowest I can get it, with it out it jumps between 1200-1300. A/F - The ECU seems to think it runs lean, so it auto corrects to run rich, and then it just seems like the signal is too slow, so it thinks it's too rich and readjusts to lean and dances back and fourth. I checked all this with Nissan DataScan Anything else I can adjust/check? I'm running out of ideas... Going to do a compression test again within the near future to see if there are any leaks in that department valves or rings or what not, but I highly doubt it.

  6. So I have searched forums and I've been getting anywhere between 36,38,40, and 43.5 PSI. LOL! Need to be a little more exact. Can anyone chime in?
  7. You're basically telling me that this hood is a piece of molded C/F? ANd that you have to fab some brackets and epoxy it to the hood? Please tell me no.

  11. You can redo the steering linkage, seems easy enough, many ppl have done it for a little extra room.

  13. Anyone know if the stock block and internals can hold like 400WHP? What's the max on the block and stock internals? I've heard in the 450 range, but has never been verified.

  15. I've seen this exact turbo IRL, and the dump elbow, it was sooo pretty, made me really consider switching back to my stock manifold and this particular turbo.

  17. Well yea, that's obvious, but once you get the motor mounted and everything, you'll be amazed at how well the motor looks and fits.
  18. I think at that point you might as well just buy a nice small turbo... the cost of parts and labor to redo that blade would just not be worth it.
  19. Makes me so sad in the pants knowing I can only run like 12-14 max... Time to dish out the wallet after all said and done for a slightly bigger snail.

Seriously, go get that thing balanced... it will save you a lot of pain down the line... it's not worth throwing out your bearings, then rebuilding your car from the ground up, the amount of money that takes and time that you can't enjoy your Z because you made a bonehead decision is not worth it. Just go for the OMG i'm cool option of getting the ATI Damper

  22. Unless you can find some other bolt-on that gives 0.5L extra, more HP, and more ooh factor for $300 bucks, then you should go RB20... If you can't which I know is pretty much impossible, then go RB25... nuf' said!
