  1. Pick what you want here, theres pro's and con's to both, do your research. Don't forget with RB it's .5-.6 more liters of displacement and with 6 cylinders you get the torque. The initial cost of an RB26 is more expensive at the beginning (not by much in my opinion), but you also get more power out of the box than an SR. Look at the cost of bringing an SR20 to the power and torque of a stock RB and you would be surprised. I think this is a myth, I sourced my RB25DET complete for $2000, you just have to do your research and know what you're looking for and where to look. RB Parts are easy to come by, so are SR for that matter. Anything imported is the same degree of difficulty of obtaining parts. A lot goes the same for RB parts availability in the US, I've just learned where to source and cross reference parts to help me find US based parts that work on the RB. One advantage to a 2JZ in my opinion are three things, US based parts, 3.0L vs. 2.6L, and the fact that the turbo sits on the passenger side, not interfering with the steering linkages or the heat from the turbo messing with your brake booster area.
  2. I wired up my RB25ECU so I can run the Nissan Fast software if needed... oh wait the Nissan Fast is the parts thing... whatever the other Nissan ECU program is called
  3. Apex filter for me, bolts straight to the MAF!
  4. If I'm not mistaken my S1 RB25 runs on the green label
  5. Yeah I don't see the Hellas under special... I didn't even know he carried them to begin with
  6. I need to change my fan... it's too wide but I'm using duel 12" fans from my old setup... I'll have to find a picture a bit later for ya.
  7. I honestly don't think you need 2 fans.. just a fan thats better setup maybe
  8. What clutch are you running? What about radiator? I was looking at your fan setup, maybe you could benefit from a fan that's more shrouded? Let me find a photo... Something like this as an example... this causes more of a suction effect and the areas covered in the shroud benefit from the fan vs. your fan only is efficient on the area right smack in the middle, your corners don't seem to have any effect on the fan at all
  9. Austin (240Hoke) says the Hellas from Rallylights are real... and I've watched their price drop over the years! (If I had known H4Lights sold things other than AutoPal earlier I might have just picked them up from him! Oh well..)
  10. Alright just ordered the Hella Housings from Rallylights... I'll do a writeup from that and see how it goes! Writeup in the future
  11. I knew you would chime in somewhere since we had this conversation once... My concern was more with the cutoff pattern and such, but overall I think the winner might have to be Hella (from the research I've done on the side)
  12. I think the Bosch, Hella, and Cibie are glass housings... are the AutoPALs plastic?
  13. How do you like the Bosch housing? Have you used any others to compare?
  14. Your car has always been clean (and it's always a nice product whenever you work on your car ), but I like being discreet about the whole projector thing.
  15. Reading this over roughly...I gathered that this method was for Tokico 280Z springs into a 240Z for stock ride height?
  16. I don't disagree with you at all... it's just a personal preference... there's no way to hide the "projector look" IMO. I just don't think it looks good And personally I don't like the after market headlight covers. I would want OE headlight covers, or OE replicas on top of that (off topic)
  17. I honestly hate the look of projectors... they look really tacky to me. You can't help but notice when looking at an old school classic.. and then seeing this bug-eye looking projector. I mean that's why there are D2S bulbs vs. the D2R shielded bulbs that help focus light on the correct housings.
  18. If any of you have problems I can take you down to his house and we can even use my baseball bats, but I'm sure you won't need them
  19. Hey guys... I searched and didn't find the information I wanted... so throwing out this post... Which of these 4 7" H4 Housings do you prefer? Why? Where did you buy them? Hellas - http://www.rallylights.com AutoPALS - http://h4lights.com/ Cibie? Bosch - http://www.fuelpumpsusa.com/-c-1/bosch-h4-7-round-headlights-p-210 One thing I might add is I am planning to run a set of H4 HID D2R bulbs, so just seeing what everyone has experienced.
  20. 15" tires I agree are hard to find (at a decent price)... 16" tire choices seem to be decent enough to not have to worry about 17"s
  21. Agree... the 17" R-Type (when made) will look retarded I think... personal opinion
  22. I honestly think I paid 200-250 bucks for my driveshaft a few years back.. and it was a brand new piece.. no used parts or anything like that
