  1. This is my friend's install.... mine will look even cleaner than this.
  2. It will work for both the RB20DET and RB25DET. I believe the pan also fits the RB26DETT, but the oil pickup will have to be custom made to fit this pan. [Correct me if I am wrong anyone]
  3. Engine mounts were replicated from another set that I had purchased before. Do you need a set?
  4. Ha, are you kidding me? Have you seen any of these guys including me turn the key within a month or three months for that matter?
  5. It's been a little quiet around here on the RB forum. Those of us who have done something to our motors, we should update fellow Hybriders. http://www.livesockets.com/quoc/rb/
  6. No problem buddy, take pictures/videos and show us how the beast is running!
  7. I think you pretty much answered my question. On the 240Z... 1) Use Maxima Companion Flanges 2) Use 280ZXT CVs 3) Use the R200 with circlips And that's it.
  8. I got to some thinking... you can delete this thread if I am wrong Moderators... But I was doing some comparisons... the R180 CVs [from a 1st gen Maxima] are the same bolt pattern on the companion flange as the R200 CVs [iE Turbo 280ZX CV]. Reading somewhere else on the forum, someone said that the 1st Generation Maxima Companion Flanges fit up to the early 240Z because the spline counts are the same or what not with no problems. So why can't you use the 1st gen Max Companion Flange, any R200 with circlips, and rebuild the 280ZXT [or similar CVs for the R200] to the correct length on both side [basically the center shaft of the CV]. Does this make sense? Reply if you don't understand what I am saying.
  9. Thanks for that John... helpful info. I went to the local Pick a Part and grabbed a set of 1st gen Maxima CV's and the entire lower control arm, maybe this will work with my "K" Box R180.
  10. Specific Question... Did Nissan change the R180 design in 280Z's after 8/76. Basically if Nissan changed the R180's to circlups in the later 280Z's, could you take those clip in stubs and adapt them to the R180 out of the 200SX, then bolt the stock 240Z half shafts? If not then I will have to find the 1st Gen Maximas and grab the CV + Companion Flanges.
  11. Sorry to bring back a post from the dead, but if you want an LSD [using this method], which one would you use. I would assume you would use the 200SX carrier, take out the side gears and replace them with the early style [stock] side gears... Then put in the early LSD or the later LSD?
  12. None other would really. the opening on the GReddy manifold is pretty big. Otherwise you can always make an adapter to utilize a smaller TB. But if anything a little cutting or pounding could solve the problem on the wheel well pretty easy, but I think I can make it work.
  13. I don't know if you noticed, but on the GReddy manifold. It requires the use of a Q45 Throttle Body. When I go to the junk yards I'll keep an eye out for those, I always do anyway since they're worth something to everyone. On the manifold, let me try to fix my solution with the TB with like a 45 silicone elbow and hope it works for the best.
  14. We're reworking the design on this one. I would love to make 2 bolts on each side instead of one. Maybe I can make something. But thanks for the love guys...more pictures to come.
  15. My friend and I are working on his car, and so far this is what we have been able to come up with... [Photos temporarily down] The transmission bracket is only temporary. It will have a new design later...but for the meanwhile it's just meant to hold up the motor.
  16. Yeah, maybe I should make them thicker on the plates... I am going to post a new thread right now of my friend's swap in progress.
  17. Do you need wiring diagrams? I know for sure you have to do the mod where you bypass the Voltage Regulator on the Chassis. There are write ups about that on the site. But if you need wiring diagrams for the RB26 just let me know.
  18. They use stock Insulator. My friend has his motor mounted, I am going to take pictures of it today. We just went to Kragen or somewhere to buy new aftermarket engine insulators. I haven't seen a mock up of the tranny mount, but like I said, maybe a week and I should have them done.
  19. btw ROCKIE, if you haven't figured out a mount soluition yet, give me a week or two when we finish the tranny mount. We might be making them in quantity to see how well it fits and what not.
