  1. Sorry Phyte, The response I gave was more towards the pump in that set-up. I have the 75/L28 and if memory serves, it will be a 16gal. or 60.5lit. capacity tank with two lines for venting/press equalizing at the highest point of the tank. And two at the front, by the twist-off/access port that houses the level indicating float. The larger one supply and the other return.
  2. I have the 75, you should have a regulator on the discharge side of the pump if it is the 75-78. Its about the size of a fig, with an adjustment screw/bolt and a lock nut on top of the diaphragm housing.
  3. I got two pair of clear, slightly convexed (for body curve) ovals. They are from the Mazdas 626/Protoge early to mid 1990's. No visable screws, thus will contribute to the "shaved" appearence. I paid 30.00 on ebay for both. I'll use appropriate color bulbs red/amber. The other options IMO, were from the newer Jaguar or Lexus. The price for those is ridiculous, even from the local bone yard. I agree, those unsightly stock protrusions must go.
  4. I sold the ZF6 and got a new modified T56 through Rodney Massengale at ebay item No.2444318310. (Indiana) Rather pricy, but not as much as a Richmond. It is rated at approx 450ft.lbs. I lost the stock 36lb. flywheel and got a Fidanza 11lb. I expect the tremble factor to increase a bit at idle however, throttle response will be rather immediate. like now! Thanks again guys for the input. Tim, any update on how that tranny worked out? And congrats on the loosening of the Gooze
  5. If you are running mpfi injection, the hotter exh ports would likely be an indication of lean firing, thus a fouled injector.
  6. Any body have an idea on the extent of widening the tunnel on a 75' Z coupe to accommodate the ZF6 speed? The JTR manual didn't specify.
  7. Dan, Thanks for the second opinion on that ZF6 speed. Tim suggested the same thing. I'm on the fence here. I know I will need to widen the tunnel a bit, just not exact on the extent. If the mod looks to be too extensive then I'll $ell it off, and aquire a T56. Should you or any one else out there know folks on either end of such a deal, please point me twords or put me in touch with them. I'd be more than happy to comp $ome one for being the mid guy. As far as the legality of the swap, The main concern is for insurance legitimacy. If the DMV knows me as a straight 6cyl, when I actually have a V8 cramed in there. Will my insurance and registration be bogus in the eyes of say a CHP? I will become exempt as for the emissions aspect on 01/01/04. However, won't I need all that smog stuff on it to recieve the new hull # from Sacremento? Thanks for any input. dave in O-side.
  8. After months of planing and parts procurement, the anticipation is killing me. All you guys here at HybridZ who fired it up after getting it in know what I mean. The 94' Corvette LT1/ZF6 speed sits in my garage staring at the 75'280Z it's about to posses. To the many who have been here before me, I can't thank you enough. This website has been an invaluable resource. I will have lots of pics to post every step of the way. Again as we say where I'm from in Hawaii, Mahalo (Thanks). Dave in Oceanside.
  9. The paint (VHT) is rated to withstand temps of >1100deg. that should be sufficent unless you plan on racing?
