  1. What would be the advantage of this? It would probably be heavier than a stamped steel stock arm. It would be more flexy (due to the bushing) than a chromoly arm. Is it just for show? Chromoly with rod ends is going to be as racey as it gets, I think, so you'd be taking a step backwards with regards to ultimate performance. As to your front brakes you got me curious if there was a 7 hole 13" rotor from Coleman or someplace like that, so I did a little checking. I did find some through Coleman, part #d30-137-1300-87 (1 3/8" rotor) or d30-125-1300-87 (1.25" rotor). I am assuming that your current setup uses a 8 hole on 7" bolt circle rotor like the JSK stuff I've got. http://www.colemanracing.com Jon I don't really think there would be much advantage,I think it would ride a lot better and look a lot better,I go to the track with my car but I drive it on the street more often and the roads and freeways suck around me.My car is so rigid with metal to metal and it bounces and creaks on every bump.It makes some nasty sounds some times.The billet control arm could be engineered so it wouldn't flex and could make it real stiff with a Delrin bushing.They build aircrafts out of this material.I got the brake kit from Dave at Arizona Z,it's the 4 piston 12 1/4 rotors.The hats are 8 hole.I think instead of buying the whole kit from Arizona Z for $1200..I will just buy the calipers and the rotors them self's from wilwood and it would cost 1/3 of the price.I already have the brackets and hats. JOHNC.......I know a lot of guys are running metal to metal,that's why I bought them to.I just didn't realize how bad the ride is till I installed them.I'm looking for my 240 to ride nice,handle and look bad ass all at the same time.I know nascar run bushings and so does Formula 1.I have a designer in the middle of making this new billet control arm with recessed Delrin bushings.He should be done if a few days.Would any of you guys be interested in seeing a picture of it completed.He is just finishing up on my billet mustache bar.It's engineered to stand up to 800+HP.

I meant rear control arms.I got a lot of the Arizona Z stuff like the brake kit and the rear tubular control arms and the front adjustable control arms.I am not very happy with the stuff.I paid TOP dollar for the stuff and just don't like the way my car rides.The front control arms are all metal to metal.The TC rod is metal to metal.The rear control arms I got from him are different then the ones my friend got from him.My buddy is able to adjust his in more then I'm able to.I think his jig was off or something when he built mine .I got the 12 inch brake rotors kit with 4 piston calipers and want to upgrade to the 13 inch rotors with 6 piston calipers and he wants like $1200 dollars more.I think I'm the one keeping him in business.I think it would be cheaper if I went to a designer and had his cut out my own parts on his CNC.The only thing he makes is the center piece for the rotor and the adapter for the caliper.I might be able to get billet parts for late model Datsuns like the R230 Diff mount and billet front control arms with bushings build into them and lots of other custom built stuff. Would anybody be interested in parts like that you think? Modern motorsports doesnt carry anything billet last time I looked on his site.He didnt have a whole lot to offer except the 5 lug convertion and the brake kits that are cool but no custom parts like I was lookin for.

Just off the top of my head for the big dollar items that I have in my LS1 240Z is like 20K to 24K and and that's not including the 4inch stack of recipts that I have and I dont even have a paint job,seats,dash or interior :malebitchslap: ........I have to dump like another 8K into my car to even sell it for 20k to 24K,but I will have alot of 1 off stuff made for my car that no one else will have either.I am afraid to add up that stack of recipts that I have.....

Is there anyone who knows where I can find websites selling custom billet parts for 240's.Parts like billet "A" arm brackets,Mustache bar,R230 diff mount,custom built control arms and CV adapters???Is there anyone making these kinds of parts?Is there a demand for them?Thanks for all the help and feedback............................... I have some ideas stewing and will be updating this post when I get some feedback from you guys.

  8. My cousin (Darius) had a set custom made for his 240 and cost him $1000 a corner with the tires.Nice set of wheels when they were brand new.That was like almost 5 to 6 years ago.
  9. I'm running a fuel tank out of a 01 Camaro and trying to convert the stock camaro fuel lines to a 6AN braided line.Is there a company that makes a adapter for it or some kind of adapter that snaps on to the plastic feed line that can thread to my 6AN line?Thanks for the help
  10. Man. You are comparing the $100 4x4 with the $1500 Arizona Z car brakes. Probably the cheapest brake upgrade compared to one of the best and most expensive. There is no question the Arizona Z car brakes are as good as it gets from a performance point of view. Many people have issues with the guy that sells them and price wise you can do better elsewhere' date=' but I have never heard anyone actualy complain about the Arizona Z setup's performance. Arizona Z sells complete suspensions, but that is REALLY expensive. You may want to just start reading through old posts, because some of your parts don't mix well together. KYB struts are nice street units, but adjustable Tokikos (however you spell that) are more cutting edge. Coil overs are nice, but you want to pick spring rates that will work with the rest of your stuff. The ZX rear brakes are more of a budget than performance option. My suggestion is to get ahold of Ross Corrigan at Modern Motorsports. He will set you up with as much good advice as product.[/quote'] I bought the arizona Z set-up my self and was told it's way over priced.I didnt know at the time and was just lookin for a complete set-up and he had it.I ended up buying the adjustable rear and front control arms too.I was told I got raped... It's all realy nice stuff but there's just one problem.........$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

I guess I will be making a bracket that looks like Tims.I emailed my buddie down south that just opened up his own machine shop and has his own CNC machine.I told him to email Dave regarding those diff mounts...so he did and got no reply from him either.If somebody has exact dementions of that bracket, he can make it easy.

I have been looking around on the net for a aluminum diff mount for my R230 like the one on http://www.linfoot.net/ and can't locate one.I have tried to contact the owner Dave several times about purchasing one but not a single reply.I seen a couple guys that have them and I think they look pretty good and looks like it works really well too.If anybody knows Dave from that site.....please let him know that he has a customer waiting to buy on ASAP.I know I could make one out of angle iron or tube steel.... but prefer that aluminum one.I will end up making one by next week if I cant locate one if a few days though.Thanks for the help

Tim,I went to the dealer and they were no help at all.The parts guy said they were back ordered??? 3154tm thanks for the link,I will be calling them first thing and I have a 93 Q45 diff my self.I had burned out my old bushings so I'm ready to install some new pollys.Thanks for the link That's a big help

I have a 01 LS1/T56 convertion in my 71 240 and think it's a perfect combo.That 93 300 diff will work great....my cousin "Darius" runs it in his 240.He hardly uses the 1st gear though because it's to low of ratio.A friend recently told me that he thought the gears in the 300 TT diff were to low of ratio for a 6 speed. But If you can find a R200 with a LSD that would be better so that way you dont need to fabricate a front mount for the R230 like I have to.The R200 LTD's are hard to come by and enough power for that combo.....and then some.I went with the R230 diff out of a Q45 like most guys on this forum because for my set-up the gears are better so if you go with the R230 diff take a look at the pictures in the link that jmortensen posted.You will need to buy the 2 shafts and 2 adapters.I will set you up with the guy I bought my kit from.My friend has a extra set of adapters also if interested.   16. I cant seem to find bushings for my R230.I have been looking for a set everywhere.A few places are back ordered if they sell them.My diff is out of a Q45.But the 300Z TT is the same so the bushings should be the same.If anybody knows of a link they can post....I would be very greatful.Thanks

I have a LS1 in a 71 240 and the wiring harness that's in it works fine........ but there is tons of un-necessary crap that is still on the harness.I want to organize it and eliminate what I don't need.Does anybody know of any hot rod shops or companies that can re-wire the harness that I have if I send it to them?Thanks for the help copy and paste in browser http://www.geocities.com/ibuyitall100/pics/Engine.jpg
