hello fellow hybridz'ers running into a little problem with turning ratio. having an issue with tire fitment in the front with my WATS, i know this has been discussed before, but i cant find the thread. Tried searching but no luck. if anyone knows the link that would be awesome or any advice what to do is appreciated. i'm running 245/45/16 in the front with 16x9 wheels, zg flares, tokico MR2 struts, sectioned to fit w/ground controls. here is the current photo attached. Debating if i should cut the fender to fit or got with more of a stretch tire (smaller tire) to fix the the turning ratio? thanks again guys!

wow holy crap, good work sir!

^ good stuff you got there! it should work really well!

thats a great idea... i thought of that at the time, but all i had was masking tape and a sharpie haha. that would make installing it so much easier! thanks man, make sure to use flexible bumper repair by bondo... not the autobody bondo. You want flexibility when it get hots in the interior. You dont want the dash to crack again. Another option i would change was use a stronger foaming material. I was interested in using gorilla glue. When it dries it expands like into rigid foam, probably work better. than the stuff i use. Its totally worth doing!

wow that is some nice paint rolling "skillage" lol i really want to try this haha

i just got finished removing and reinstalling my dash about 3 weeks ago... make sure you label every bolt, every wire and relay with the corresponding connection and lastly take your time. your really dont want to mess up anything. Its pretty darn simple when you get down to it.

good stuff man, i did this with my dash and interior vinyl pieces of my car... the interior vinyl dye is great durable stuff, just make sure you really let them dry before putting them in. The smell of the dye can be really strong. but it looks great man!

thanks again guys the plans for my car is a revamped stocked restoration, with future plans for a engine swap. I never really got to enjoy the stock 240z, so i want to enjoy it before i move on to bigger and better things for the car. So "driveability" is a main focus. The s2k seats were comfortable, matched the look of my car and it presented itself for dirt cheap. My buddy was doing a seat swap in his car and these were just sitting in his car collecting dust. I am using the stock harness seat belts and they fit perfect in the shoulder brace on the seat for the belt also! like they were built for the car...

Lumberjack, I'm really interested in that material... I will definitely take a look into it. Grundge, I got the kit from ebay, for a good deal, the person that sold me the kit is a member here on this forum. Good quality carpet, good fitment. Only thing that seemed weak about the kit was the stitching. but other than that, great kit.

yes underneath i am planning to remove the gas tank and place extra insulation. With the added sound insulation that i already placed in the spare wheel compartment, i think should be enough. here's an update... with some carpet in... with the seats installed... test fitted steering wheel...

thanks for the compliments guys... i really was debating where to put the front speakers for the install... i just didnt like where most placed the front speakers. i do agree that this is not the best choice for front speakers to be mounted... i still have to hear how it sounds. i debated about the two 8's behind the seat, it would fit perfect though!

I have searched and searched, but still cannot make up my mind about tire size and tire brand selection. I know many people have had experience with this issue before, but a lot of the tires that have been discussed are no longer being produced. here's the low down... I'm running wats; 16x9 front and 16x9.5 rear. I really want to get tires sizes in 245/45/16's all around. I know it will have to be stretched slightly to fit but thats not a big deal. The issue is, as we all know, finding tires for 16in (w/wide width) wheels are vertually impossible. I'm beginning to lose hope in finding the right tire I want? Should I go with a stretched looked (which i dont really want) 225/45/16 but get the brand tire that I am happy with? or Go with some tire brand that is NOT to my liking but get the tire size I want for the wheels? Anybody with suggestions, photos of stretched/non stretched or experience is greatly appreciated. thanks in advance guys!

Just finished s13 coilovers into s30
shika805 replied to jmai86's topic in Brakes, Wheels, Suspension and Chassis
wow if only i knew about this thread earlier... i spent a lot of time doing a lot of research about options for the S30 and ended up going with the ground control set up. this so far seems like a very inexpensive way to get your s30 dumped but retaining travel. i cannot speak for performance but looks like it works so far. just hope my GC kit will help my car's stance to look that good.
