I have been looking and it seems I should re-wire the ground cable. When I buy the new negative should it be hooked to the frame and then wire another wire to the alternator? What gauge wire would be used for the alternator one? Also, I havn't actually looked at the positive cable but what does it connect to? One connection or a few?
I am having major annoying problems. I put the key in and jumper cable my car and it starts, then it runs fine, then I turn the key off and car stops and then battery drains somewhere. The starter will not engage when you turn the key and the PO has a button rigged to turn the starter so its turn key and push.
For one I want to revert the wiring back to the stock turn key and go. Is this a separate wire or something built into the engine or dash wiring harness?
Also why is the battery draining when I shut the car off? I don't know where to start!
I tried a new ignition switch and it made it better, like it doesn't drain the battery as soon as you put in the key it just does when you stop the engine now.
I just bought a set of Tokico's for my 84 300zx Turbo and one of the rears were missing the selector switch so I emailed Tokico and they sent me a full set of switches and some stickers for free!
Cool, well I was going to do 350z rims 17x7.5 +30/17x8 +33 with 5mm spacers and 225/45-17 front and 235/45-17 rears. Looks like it will work out great.
Anyone have 225/45/17 or 235/45/17's on 17x7 rims? I am looking at a these sizes for a staggered set but it looks like 7 wides are barely just enough wheel for these. Will they be ok? Will they look weird? I have seen a few 205/50/17's on the 7 wide wheels but thats narrower than stock so ya...
Edit: I meant 7.5 inch wide...
So I suddenly started getting a draining battery and now when I try to jumpstart it I get a ticking relay from in the fender behind the battery. I pulled the battery and then the green relay closest to the front on the passenger side. I just looked and its part number 25230 and from the diagrams it should be a 22696y in this place? Are they the same or could I be getting bad electrical problems due to a wrong relay?

Hey, I hear something clicking behind the dash when the key is inserted, no matter the position its turned to. It stops when I pull the interior lights fuse...
I don't think there are any relays or anything back there so what is it?
Maybe this is causing my battery to drain also, which won't hold a charge for more than a minute.
I went out to start and its dead, jumper cabled it and it started fine and everything. Then I shut it down and after only a minute its dead again. Repeated and its still killed the battery after a minute. Help, I don't know where the juice is going!
I am trying to find a replacement hose that goes between the throttle body and the tube from the turbo. Fiche part number 14463m. Where can I get one and what would they be called in the real world?
So what are the different names for the strut mounts. Are they also called "strut mount insulators" or is that something else.
Um, when it comes to strut mounts do either non adjustable suspension or adjustable suspension mounts fit in the body and then you just have to get the right struts or is it car specific?
So does it matter if I use adjustable or non mounts with Tokico Illumina's?
What cars had the adjustable suspension? All turbo's?
If your doing an ACT then get a nice stainless braided clutch hose and a new slave cylinder. It may be worth your while to do the rear main while your at it. Also your rear tranny seal is a must. Make sure your master is good too cuz I just got my clutch and tranny replaced and did everything but the master and its now bad.
Hey, I would like key blanks for a 1984 300zx Turbo, email me and we'll see if you got the correct groove pattern.
Also I need just one 5-lug z31 rim like the one pictured. Thanks.
