  1. Very cool! It's back on the road! Definitely needs mufflers to get that cool sound
  2. The shroud should be as close as possible to the radiator, if not sealed to it. It will still flow enough air at speed. I sealed mine with a seal I bought from McMaster-Carr, # 2 , I think part # 1120A821 but it depends on the size of your gap.
  3. Did you try turning that nut with the red arrow the other way. The stock tie rod on the passenger side is reverse thread. The new Coutesy peices are both right hand thread, because Nisson no longer makes the reverse thread ones. P.S. Do not touch the spot welded "slotted nut" as you call it. It's part of the inner tie rod
  4. They make custom ones, give them a call.
  5. http://www.cometic.com/phuzion.aspx Acts like an o-ringed block and heads without the machining!
  6. I found it for a 280Z, the 260Z maybe a bit less. http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=111805
  7. Ah man, this sucks Charlie!!!! After all the work you put into it too. I really hate to see you leave us Z nuts! I'm still going to invite you to our Z meets, I hope you will still come. What year Vette did you buy, and where do I break that guy's legs Keep in touch!

    Lol!

They already make bling-bling wheels and tires for these things?
  9. You need to search a bit, maybe this will help: http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=68027
  10. Why not! It should work, make sure you grab the pcm, and all wiring you need for the engine, and tranny.
  11. Don't worry about that part with the slits, it's part of the inner tie rod. You need to loosen that nut to the right of it, in your pic. Once loosened you can unscrew the whole inner tie rod from the rack.
  12. You're right, there is a 472 caddy Z out there! http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=101463&page=3 http://album.hybridz.org/showgallery.php?cat=500&ppuser=8191
  13. I have, but it's been so long. Mine is also a '72. I remember there was a sleave pushed up to the thin nut that I had to slide over. I used a screwdriver between the nut and the sleave and pushed it over. Once it was out of the way, I loosened the nut, then unscrewed the inner tie rod.
  14. First off, Welcome!! I don't think anyone has done a 500 Caddy yet. Please take lots of pics and post them!
  15. Too cool! You wouldn't see that here!!!
  16. Don't forget the Cable X too: http://www.atrol.com/cablex.htm
  17. I think you're right, I've heard stock HEI dizzys max out around 4500rpm.
  18. Welcome to the site! Looks like you have a bunch of rust repair to do, good luck, and have fun!
  19. Also make sure the spring is in the lower hose!
