  1. If it has JTR engine mounts, the 8" balancer will hit either the rack, or crossmember. I can't remember which.
  2. You could try looking for some partners. Many small planes have partners to share costs, maintenance, insurance..etc
  3. I have always wondered about that wing also. I have a wing like that, that is made for a Z car. Not sure if it helps with anything
  4. If the vette uses the same u-joint then that end could be re-used. You'll have to try the yoke in your tranny to see if it fits. Once the engine/tranny and diff are in place, then talk to a driveshaft place and see how they want you to measure ( every place has it's own way) If it's around 18" they should be able to shorten it. You can't add to a driveshaft, they would just replace that piece to the right length.
  5. You can use that aluminum driveshaft, but you will still have to bring it to driveshaft place. It will probably have to be shortened a little and a new end to fit the 200 diff. The tranny splines may be the same, but I'm not sure. I think most driveshafts are around 18" for a T56 V8 car.
  6. The 93 - 97 LT1 T56, and bellhousing will bolt up to pre '86 block, but you have to buy an aftermarket flywheel, and clutch assembly. They are not cheap. I bought my flywheel, and clutch from Centerforce and I think the price was around $600 Wier has a kit for SBC blocks that except either the LT1 or LS1 T56s : http://www.weirhotrodproducts.com/
  7. Welcome! , Did you buy this great deal? : http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=116976&highlight=craigslist Half the fun is doing it yourself! Take your time and go through the car and fix what is needed. Also get the JTR book ( jagsthatrun.com ) It will come in handy with your questions.
  8. You didn't say other make of cars in your first post. Don't know of other makes of cars, for that you need one of these: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Hollander-56th-Interchange-Manual-1974-1990_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ6762QQihZ015QQitemZ250050613945QQrdZ1
  9. Did you search? here: http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=111642&highlight=wiper+arms
  10. That would cause major chain reaction wrecks over here!
  11. I used these headers, very nice quality! http://www.zigsstreetrods.com/ Go to online "catalog" then select "headers" from left column. I used the RW37 headers. I had to add a U-joint to my steering column, but I've heard of others using these that did not.
  12. I have a full size set of 240Z, and maybe even a 280Z white face gauges printed on paper. I could send them or scan them to you if you want. These are in MPH. let me know
  13. Sounds very nice!! What kind of mufflers are you running?
  14. Depends how much you beef up the frame, how much roll bar, etc.. Somewhere between 2400 - 2800 lbs
  15. That car belongs to one of our members! http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=116436

  17. Hey Crispy Chicken, I hope you're not carring those blocks, and trannys by yourself? Remember what happened to Pete!! http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=110370
  18. They are very cool, but very expencive. Plus the added length, and width in the tunnel would be difficult. A V8 driveshaft is very short, and with a gearvendor, it would be around 12" or less long!
  19. Hey! How did he find out Davy? Did you tell him. Keep the donations coming guys, we're almost there!
  20. Man that's 2 lately, not good. So sorry to hear this. Here's his car
