  1. I've got too much time on my hands and this is what happens.... LARRY
  2. I don't know about the 240Z cars but RacerX seems to know alot about them from this thread. http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=94934&highlight=PRIMADONNA LARRY
  3. I was searching this forum for old threads for pics of the Primadonna Z cars and found the images red x so I thought I'd post a link to my car club's site (ZONC) which has a feature on the owner and builder of these type cars. http://www.zonc.org/zoom_06_02.html LARRY
  4. Lunar240z, Your picture brings back old memories. My first new car was a 76 TR-7 with a retractable top just like the one pictured. The top was made of canvas and when you pushed it back it would go into small folds. The wiring system was LUCAS and after a few months of driving it the car went completely dead and it spent two weeks in the shop as they tried to find the problem ( burned out resister coil in the middle of a wiring harness). Still I had great times with it when I lived in the Chicago area. LARRY
  5. Start with this link and then start searching the forums, It's all here... http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=67657 LARRY
  6. Story Lines???? I dail the lesbian scenes to slow/mo to make sure I'm up to date... LARRY
  7. Excellent response and two of the most prolific posters have sold their Z cars and for the most part moved on---- Tim240z and bastaad525. Between them they had almost 9,000 posts not counting the non tech forum. Older members move on and newer members need time to get up to "speed". That's how life is... LARRY
  8. You might e-mail the author of this mod . http://www.zcar.com/forums/read.php?f=1&i=562273&t=562205#reply_562273 LARRY
  9. Check the picture in post #11 of this thread. It's from a 75 280Z. Looks factory to me as does mine. http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=20886&highlight=CONSOLE+SWITCHES LARRY
  10. Who are you directing the yeah but statement to? I agreed with you about the 74 260Z having blank squares in those two places and just went on to mention what the following year 75 280Z has. I never said his were factory switches. LARRY
  11. My 74 260Z has the blank squares described by veriteck-z. In my 75 280Z the top row center square has a low fuel warning light in it. and the bottom row right square has a ant. up and down switch in it. Don't forget that the 75-78 280Z dash and consoles had changes thru out that period of years. LARRY
  12. Not sure what info your looking for but the 260Z VIN started with RLS30.... As opposed to a domestic american car of that time you can not determine what the car came with because nothing is encoded in the VIN or on a factory build sheet. LARRY
  13. Take a read of this link...... http://www.geocities.com/zgarage2001/engine.html LARRY
  14. Looking at who has a birhtday today I wonder what's the story behind user name Sexual Burrito?? LARRY
  15. So here I'm cruising along I-10 in TX. where the speed limit is now 80 mph. I go onto a state road to get to SAN ANGELO, TX. to see one of my brothers. There are small towns dotted along this road and the speed limit drops to 50 in them. As I'm tooling along at 72 mph, the road turns and here is one of these towns. I see a state trooper car too late and his lights go on as I pass him...DAMN. I'm 50 miles from SAN ANGELO. State trooper: " Let me see your driver's lic." " Where are you from?" Me: "Ca." State trooper: " Where are you going?" Me: " San Angelo to see my brother who's retired military and retired postmaster in Knickerbocker, TX." State trooper: " What's his name?" I tell him. State trooper: "You know you were going 72 in a 50. We want you to obey our laws and have a safe trip. I'm giving you a warning ticket and there will be no fine and it will not go on your record. Have a nice day." Me: " Have a nice day." Whew... When I told my brother the story and he looked at the name of the trooper he said he was the postmaster for his family. I love TX. LARRY
  16. 1) Worst strech of interstate road is I-40 going into Needles,CA. Reduced speed limit to 50 mph and be prepared for the ride of your life. A disgrace to CA. and the Feds. The minute you cross the AZ. line it's a great road. 2.) A gas exit sign in NEB. does not mean the gas station is anywhere near. Went 8 miles once one way. 3.) Never stop at a mom and pop gas station anywhere...$3.45 for 87 octane once. 4.) Rest stop ahead sign does not mean there are restrooms in them unless specified. 5.) Lots of gas stations don't take cash or are unattened at night. 6.) Every state works on the interstate in the summer and love to do it in major cities right where you need to exit to another interstate road. I love closed exits and detours. Last but not least is the state of WY. never drive at night in that state without a full tank at the state line and a hotel reservation. All small gas stations close at sunset and forget getting a motel room. I left Iowa on a Monday at 7:30 am and at around 9:00 pm started looking for a room in WY. Forget it, by 2:00 am Tue. I decided to drive straight thru to CA. I took one hr. sleep at a rest stop in NV. and got to FAIRFIELD,CA. at 3:00 pm Tue. I could of got a motel room in NV. but that would of put me into SAC. at rush hr. and I was in no mood for bumper to bumper, stop and go traffic. It was still a great four week trip.... Always stop where the trucks are and that you can see the gas station from the road!!!!! One more state to watch is OK. and their Damn Toll Roads. I had to go thru paying four tolls in the state... 17. Hey TYLER I was in your neck of the woods 2 weeks ago for a family reunion. I had a hell of a time getting to a community center off of I-94. We came up I-35 from Osage,IA and took I-494 in Minneapolis only to find it closed on weekends. The detour was interesting to get to I-94 to say the least. We stayed at a DAYS INN in that area. That part of the country looks like a nice place to live and the pace of living is certainally slower then CA. LARRY
  18. I have two other video's of the same quality. I shot those with my small KODAK Easy Share camera and not my camcorder. If there is any interest in them I can load them up to this site. LARRY
  19. http://album.hybridz.org/showphoto.php?photo=8475&cat=509 First time he's run this set-up and his time of 6.5 secs. placed him in first. The other peoples times were in the high 7's or more. He was a few tenths off the track record on his home track. LARRY
  20. POPE and YOUNG Bull 369 pts. #2 record in 1998 shot with a MATTHEWS Ultra 2 bow. PEDERSOLI SHARPS Limited Edition with Gold Buffalo Heads on the receiver. If you want to hunt ELK the DR. is the man to see.... LARRY
