    I've never seen a stock Z with sidepipes but can tell you this about speed bumps. There is no magic number for clearance. I have to scout every parking lot and every entrance and exit for their angles. I have 4 1/2 in. clearance and that's the best I could do. This was gained by notching the frame rail. If you swap a V-8 in your car I can give you lots of details and pics.... LARRY

    I don't know if this helps but my info is that starting with the 72 240Z some/all, intermittent wipers were added which changed the wiring, connectors, and hardware/mounting of the combo switch. If you have a 70 240Z you need the early combo switch and wiring.     As Jon said, have you replaced your bushings in the rear and tightened every thing up again, especially replacing the front mount and new mustache bar bushings??? LARRY

    Nissan used butyl sealant on the 280ZX side windows. Do a search for this product on Google. If you want I could post the page from my 80 280ZX FSM on the correct procedure of removing and installing the side window glass. LARRY
