  1. Hmm he set that album up for non public access. Oh well. Here's some more car show pics(different show) http://www.resizeme.com/index.cfm?pg=browsealbums&albumid=366 Phyte
  2. If you need a place to host the pics, your more then welcome to sign up with my company http://www.resizeme.com for free and host all the pics there! Phyte
  3. Sorry guys, I'd search if I could. Whats envolved in swapping in a 5speed? I know the pedals will swap out with my auto brake pedal, I just don't know if the cross members or drive shaft will need work. Is it a bolt in swap with pedals, master/slave hydrolics, and T-5? Since I'm eventually going with an L28et, is the later 280z 5 speed choice, or should I just start with a 5 speed from an 82-83 zx? Thanks Phyte
  4. What type of numbers are you putting down? Are you running the stock computer? Surely not? I've got about 4k to spend on the motor, and I want to do it right the first time. This car is my daily, so its not going to be raced(much ) and I don't need crazy hp numbers. I had a 69 firebird that dyno'd 416, and that was a little too much for a daily Phyte
  5. Great! IC will be the first upgrade, then boost controller. How much boost with upgraded fuel and IC can the stock turbo's realiably put out? 12? 15? I guess what I'm asking is what is the limit of the stock computer and injectors? Sorry for all the noob questions. Search is hosed. Phyte
  6. I've made the decision to just start out with a all stock L28et for my 260. Once I get the motor in I'll start upgrading from there. Whats the RWHP limit I can expect from all stock componants, except for a boost controller? Can I expect 220-240rwhp with a good tune? Once I get used to driving the car with this combo I'll start the upgrade process. Thanks Phyte
  7. what you don't like pastel colors
  8. XJ's(cherokee's) are unibody, so there is no way your getting a Z on it Phyte
  9. Looks like you can stroke them to 4.7L for not a lot of money. Just need a crank out of a 258cu and the rods. Here's a really good article on how to do it. The worse part of it is the front of the crank needed a 1/4 spacer for the balancer.. thats it! http://www.rockcrawler.com/techreports/stroker40/index.asp Phyte
  10. Georgia Flash 75V8 Good job! Here's your car, first one you can use as a base:
  11. His daily is the ls1 car, and trust me its a fun ride Phyte
  12. Just highlight the area you want to color with the polygonal lasso tool. Once you have the area you want to paint selected create a new layer. In the create a new later dialog box change the "mode" from normal to color. Select your paint brush tool and whatever color you want to paint the car. Some colors are easier then others to blend. Just keep selecting different colors until the paint brush looks right. Once you have that done you can adjust the Hue/Saturation of the layer and it will magically change colors in front of your eyes Since the darkest you can go with that process is a darker grey, to get that black I just created another layer, and put it down to about 30% opacity and used the paint brush to paint a black layer on top the other color layer. Hope that helps! Phyte
  13. Wouldn't he need these? They are $30 cheaper too: http://65.122.158.47/catalog/product_info.php?manufacturers_id=&products_id=6 Phyte
  14. Oh ya.. We can't forget my favorite color on Z cars.. and well sports cars in general
  15. here's my attempt: And one for mike Phyte
  16. Here's why I ask this question. First off both tires are only $86/p off tirerack. Here's the short version of this story. I met a guy that works at NTB that also has a Z car. Well he had 2 michelin 245/45/17's and 2 BFG 245/45/17's just sitting around. I bought all 4 of them for $40 Well after getting the tires on the rims lastnight I found out that one of the michelins has a nasty bubble in the sidewall. He told me when I bought them that NTB would road hazard them and I could get a new set. He's not working today, but I called NTB and they can get both the tires I listed. He told me lastnight that I should be able to get about $175/p credit for the michelin tires, so that almost covers the full cost of the NEW kuhmo's or Sumitomo's! So in the end I should be able to get the 4 new tires for almost free, still out $40 from the original sale, but I'll still have a very good set of BFG's that I can sale and get my money back. Looks like I'll be getting free tires Phyte
  17. I'm stuck on either the Sumitomo HTR Z II or the Kuhmo Supra 712's. I've heard TONS of good things about the Kuhmo's, but on tirerack.com the Sumitomo's rate higher in every category over the Kuhmo's. I won't be racing this vehicle much at all. Tires size I need is 225/45/17. Phyte
  18. resizeme.com? whats that silly website I like these: Phyte
  19. I just went and bought new rotors. That fixed it right up! The pedal feel is ever so slightly soft, but I think a set of SS brake lines are in order. I'll do that when I do the rear disc swap. I'm extremely happy with the braking power now! Phyte
  20. Enjoy http://www.resizeme.com/index.cfm?pg=browsealbums&albumid=225 Phyte
  21. I'm not sure what I'm going to do. I stripped one bolt out of the drivers side hub, and stripped a wheel stud and lug nut on the otherside. I guess I'm going to have to get new "stock" rotors, and another hub, and some press in studs. Kinda sucks I'm using the stock MC ya, so I'll bleed a couple more times once I get some more parts. Phyte
  22. Bunch of new features added. Check it out. Phyte
  23. Crap. So should I return these calipers to autozone and get vented setup?
  24. Ok after some searching I'm really confused. I would like to bolt on the 84 300zx N/A front vented rotors, but I can't figure out if I need a spacer or not. I've got the S12 calipers for a 84 toyota. The car is an early 260 with the round style hubs. Thanks Phyte
