  1. Looks great Vinh, what's wrong with the paint job? Looks to be the same color as your 'vert, which is gorgeous BTW.
  2. I've spent a few moments searching for the wheel stands shown under the blue Z at the end of your post jhaag, never found anything. Does anyone know where these are sold?
  3. BTW, it does make for an interesting read though. I often times wish the original posters would respond with the final solution to their problems / questions. That would definitely make the archives more meaningful if you knew the outcome of a situation like the one above or what the technical solution was for the original issue.
  4. What happened to those rims??
  5. Dave, looks like the 280zx hatch is roughly 43 inches across, have you found any that short? I love the way the shipping costs on some of those auctions are more then the lip is...and BTW, I think it would look nice.
  6. I got the same impression of the plaid-shorted bystander gentleman. I spotted him several times during the course of the afternoon, at times accompanined by his gf(?). He didn't seem to engage in any conversations. On a related note, I also have photos from the event that my son took, but getting them from him has proven difficult, I will post them when I get them. Of course most were probably of his own car LOL.
  7. It was quite a coincidence to run into Tom on the way home. Its a small Z world I guess. We exchanged a few words at 80 mph, but I couldn't ask him why he didn't join us today.
  8. Just got home, had a blast, thanks!! Nice to have faces to go with the forum names!!
  9. Thanks Mike, I didn't want to step on any toes!! LOL
  10. Anyone consider posting the meet specifics on Zcar.com? Try to round up some more participants.
  11. Looks like an 1983 California automatic 280zx JECS brand ECU. Check out the following Zcar post for a full listing of ECU part numbers. http://www.zcar.com/forums/read/1/702395/702414#msg-702414
  12. Grap the harness and ECU while you're at it too!!
  13. I'm hoping that everyone that can will be driving their Z's to the meet!!!
  14. Those red hot dogs are great!! Wish we could find where we live!!
  15. Well, we have to be driving our Z's.....I want to see some nice hardware. I'm coming from 06415.
  16. I'm from central Connecticut and would love to meet somewhere, count me in!! Northern Jersey is a bit of a haul, 6 hours round trip, but I'll do my best!! Don't get to hang out with Z guys too often.
  17. Big-phil, I saw this post Tuesday and noticed you had visited Bangor Maine. We've lived in Connecticut for some time now, but I'm originally from northern Maine and attended college in the Bangor area. I was curious what a Texan was doing that far North. Well, today I'm searching for a good price on an ACT clutch and I run into your clutch install video on Youtube and notice your wearing a UMaine Hockey hat!! What's up with that, was your Texan accent preceeded by a Maine accent?
  18. I owned an 80 280zx back in 82-84. Sold it when the family started arriving. Got the Z bug again in 2001 and bought my current 81 280zxt. Same silver over blue color as my first, but this one has t-tops and its a turbo!! I've slowly modified her from auto to 5-speed swap the first year to an intercooler last summer. Now I need to address the rust issues.
  19. Veritech-z, I have an uncrushed 1G DSM BOV that I was looking to sell on Ebay when I get around to it. I also have a handbuilt flange which I had purchased on EBay, But never used. Let me know if you're interested.
  20. Please see your Zcar.com post for my suggestions.... http://www.zcar.com/forums/read.php?f=1&i=725135&t=725135
  21. Here's a shot of his car over the winter when he still had the stock ones installed. Let us know if you want them, they are sitting in storage. Here are a few up to date shots of his car:
  22. I'll have him snap a few pictures this afternoon for you.
  23. My son has a set of stock 2001 Jetta all red OEM Hella taillights that he's looking to sell. $50 plus shipping from Connecticut. Mint condition including gaskets. Let me know.
  24. I'm interested in the placement of your wide band O2 sensor. I remember reading that the wide band O2 sensor should be further down the downpipe to avoid the high turbo heat. Are you using one of their ceramic insulators? I will be purchasing a wideband this summer and have an extra bung on my downpipe right about where yours is. Sure would make it easier if I could use it...
