  1. hahaha bout the same as how mine rides with the HP -1 coil and KYB struts. I need to roll my fenders.
  2. kinda reminds me of this lol: in a good, way, it'll look great with a new front bumper to fill up that space... way to rep SCCA! no proper spot for a sticker on my car.
  3. how did the ride difference feel to you, PM me.
  4. Alot of people do this when mounting amps for stereo systems, you could mount it on the underside of the passenger seat, or on the backside of the glovebox, dependent on the size of the ECU.
  5. The stock suspension is on there now because of winter, but I have one that I photoshopped along time ago that is relatively close. http://www.pinkbike.com/photo/4258156/ its a little higher than that, about .5-1inch higher.
  6. I got one already, thanks for the offer though

  7. I have a afm if you still need one i will sell it for 50 shipped

  8. ya, Im bringing out the timing light tommorow, checking the boot, and I have another dizzy for it, the one thats on it is from a 280zx, with new cap and rotors, any idea what the air gap should be retarded to? and shouldnt the timing be around the 8-10 area?
  9. I checked the electricals, might be the fusible links. Sorry for the confusion here, When You Rev the motor, the tach needle goes down and the actual RPMS go up. It also has a small intake backfire which leads me to believe all of this is caused by Air Flow Meter Hose/PCV valve leak somewhere. This all started occuring two weeks ago. It had happened before in the past but it had reset while I was driving it before, so I didn't think much of it this time till it didn't go away. I replaced the AFM with the proper one that belonged on my car and not a 280zx afm, It seems to have made a difference but it has created new problems.
  10. the tach only started doing that when I put in the new Air Flow Meter, which went from being a 280zx AFM to a 280z AFM, the 280z afm was much lighter and had alot less things inside the cover, which kind of worried me.
  11. I didnt with the stock tokico, bought them that way. Id imagine it to be stiffer and quicker response due to eliminating the "progressive" top coil sag on regulart Tokico springs.
  12. Hi, I tried searching this and found a little on each all pointing to different things. First of all, the car is idling ruff, and you can feel an unusual bubble in the gas pedal, and when your parked in place and rev it hard, the Tach needle goes down instead of up, and when your driving and try flooring it , it roughly makes its way to about 3 and a half k and then stops and wont go any higher, and when you accelerate hard the RPMS rise like normal but barely accelerates while still blippin the gas, the speed doesnt follow the RPMS like it used to. It led me to think two things, the AFM was bad, so I replaced that and found that it had a 280zx AFM on it, and put the OEM 280z one on and now Im thinking its a hose issue between the throttle body and the AFM and possibly the ECU for the injection or something, I move later this week and dont have a trailer to haul on, please help me get this thing going again right.
  13. depends on the strut/shock choice, civic type, meaning its stiff, but forgiving at times. Id still strongly suggest avoiding all pot holes. the top coil or two tend to sag on Tokico HP blue springs because of the "ride" they try and give it, so when you drive regularly the stock hp springs would be soft and forgiving, and when you take that progressive coil out, expect a stiffer less comfortable ride, you have a nice supra, im guessing you've been into the tuner crowd, the only thing I have on tap to compare it to is an Integra with DC2 coilovers that I rode in.
  14. I put some snow tires on and its good, its just the frozen slush and raw black Ice that require the higher gear starts. mostly the only cars you see in the ditches are suv's trucks subarus and some mini vans lol.
  15. I had them on for a test ride and it seamed to be a more "civic" type of handling, it wasn't amazingly comfortable at times, but it handled great. my wheel wells are rhino lined so thats the only problem I see myself having,
  16. dear lordy!!! is that size exhaust necessary on an l26?!?!
  17. you dont know the half of it (montana ) Its pretty solid in snow, but ice, forget about it, expect 3rd gear clutch feathering starts
  18. Tokico blue series? I cut a coil out of my HP springs and they dropped it from stock about 2-2.5" and its perfect, I really wanna drop my tank and get the rear bumper off, do you have any tips about dropping the tank at all? or is it just drain, pinch, un-bolt, and get the damn shock out and just mount it back up or is it more of a pain
  19. ya, it does help lol Just my luck, Ive hit the next hurdle, the # on it is clean worn off, and I have no way of telling what # AFM I need.
  20. title mostly says it all, Need An AFM air flow Meter for a 78 280z, need asap, mine went out and is making the car idle and drive bubbly and rough. Please send Me a PM and we can talk. PS thanks BRAAP for the correction Thanks, Sean
  21. dang Roadie!!! I built Dirt jumpers and fixies for extra cash through my last few years of high school lol. now I ride my santa cruz v10 in the spare 3 months of riding a year.
