  1. we changed to gunmetal grey metalic, its a lexus color.
  2. ahh that makes sense... i hope my time as a newb is nearly over.
  3. its slightly annoying. often i look through the classified section and more than one seller peaks my interest. but i must wait, while someone else could potentially beat me to the sale. i only ask because this is the first forum i've ever registered on that is like this.
  4. so people have those? lol. i thought come alongs were fairly common, but i never thought people had complete pulley systems in their garages. thanks for the info. its much appreciated.
  5. sorry if i gave misinformation, but that is how my tank is, granted its a 77 280
  6. my car sat for 16 years under a tree in a back yard... no rust besides the passenger floor pan, and the battery tray and the bottom of the hatch. but the motor started up with a new fuel pump, filter and plugs. vroom vroom!!!!!!!! best of luck.
  7. the trailer cant be moved to the driveway because my drive way is about a 60* angle and it will scrape way before the wheels hit the end of the driveway. we aren't willing to chance messing up either vehicle. my current plan is to hook a comealong to the back of the z, and to the front of the truck, and ease the z down the drive way. i think it should work, i'd just rather have used some brakes.
  8. the two forward facing hard lines on the tank are your gas feed and return lines. the one on the top is the feed, it goes to the fuel pump. the one on the bottom, is your return. so it sounds to me like you have your lines on backwards.
  9. right now my car is in the middle of a full disk conversion, and some of the parts are at the powder coaters. i.e. my new calipers front and rear. i still have one of my old calipers. i need to get the car down my relatively steep drive way, and onto the street so i can put it on a car trailer for transport to another city. can i block off the rear brake port on the master cylinder, and one of the front brake lines at the caliper end, and just use one brake on the front to get me down the drive way? again, this is only to get me down the drive way. if it is absolutely unsafe, i will not do it, i'm just looking for a solution. other suggestions that are helpful would be very much appreciated as well.
  10. did you spray on the fibers or throw them at it or just apply them with a brush or what? this looks great.
  11. how much for the nex seats? pics?
  12. dont know about z fitment but they look awesome, and are very comfortable from what i hear. i think they are available in fixed position and recliners too.
  13. Thanks to zedsn and 22 hours of straight driving, i have my hatch and other stuff i didn't post about. thanks ed!!!! i still need a 240/260z bumper, and an msa type 3 (i think) front air dam, also, i'm looking to borrow a spoiler so i can make a mold and make my own spoiler. thanks
  14. its the low profile bumper right? i would need to see pics, and would it need to be re chromed?
  15. i forgot to mention that although it may not make sense to you guys, I am not looking at buying a used welder. generally i have no issues with buying used tools and parts, but with the amount of money i'm looking at spending, i'd rather not risk getting a welder thats been abused, even though it works when i buy it, and may even look to be in nice shape. i want years of reliable service from this machine.
  16. i am buying a mig welder. i am looking for a 110-120v setup, 180amp or lower, relatively inexpensive, and i want it to run flux core wire rather than deal with the hassle of renting/refilling bottles. also, i'll be welding sheetmetal, thinwall tubing and other similar materials. the thickest stuff i will probably ever weld will be a roll cage, so keep in mind i won't need a rediculas setup. i'm looking at a lincoln 125amp welder right now at lowes for 419$ Lincoln is a reputable brand as far as i know, but i'm interested in what you guys have to suggest. to be honest, i'd rather not spend 419$ unless i'm getting alot for my money. thank you for the help, Austin
  17. still looking for someone closer if possible, if no one responds in the next two days, i'm going to go with zedsns...
