Will this bond properly to fiberglass and/or body filler? Or is this just for bare metal? I would be worried about it being flexible enough and not cracking on fiberglass. Any news on bulk pricing?

A friend of mine just transferred here from japan and is able to get basically anything we need shipped for cost plus REAL shipping cost here to the states. I cant think of anything off the top of my head, but maybe you guys know of something. Maybe we can get a group purchase of sort going. PM me or post here.

I gotta ask, did you fix the problem or just the end result? -

My VW bug saw a lot of stupid mistakes.... Parking on a hill and forgetting to put it in gear or setting the brake. Coming out of the store to see my car gone and think it was stolen (only worth 200 bucks at best at the time) Then seeing it against a telephone pole RIGHT next to the highway. (driver's door was left open also, it caught the pole and sprung it badly) Not fixing an oil leak. There was literally a puddle of oil under it every day, so I put in 90 weight... (ran for another year) -
The recent post about rookie mistakes got me thinking... Happened when I was 16 (18 years ago!!) I had my 65 VW bug parked by my parents house in the snow. Went out to start it up, just as it fired I realized the throttle was stuck on the floor!! Being a bone-head kid, I froze while the engine raced, finally after about 10 seconds or so I killed it. I didnt have a tach, so I dont know how high it revved but from a cold start it couldnt have been very good for the internals. Grant

Ok, well I cant import the .pst file, I did a search of the old hard drive and its not there. I did import the email addresses though. Now here's my REAL problem. If I can find a way, I need to be able to access my old documents on the first hard drive, however, I had a password on my account (I know it) but it says the folder is empty and there's no where to input a password. Any help???

Wow, finally I get a thread that people reply to, but its not even about my freakin car!! Isk, I just picked up a bare bones system from A-1, I even got a burner with it for a total of 429. It turns out the cpu, motherboard and somehow my existing burner were all toast. I re-used my ram and will be transplanting my two existing hard drives into the new pc, in addition to the brand new 60 gig in there. I could have just replaced the motherboard, video card, burner, cpu and the power supply (just a 250 in it), but I figured it would be cheaper and quicker to just go this route. Any hints on how to recover my saved emails and addresses from outlook? By the way, thank you to everyone who replied and offered their advice and opinions

I dont want to lose the data. Other than that the hard drives dont mean anything to me. The important data is on a secondary drive, not the bootable drive (other than desktop items and email crap) I did replace the cpu fan last night, no new news. The cpu was HOT to the touch, coudnt touch the heat sink hot. Wife heard it, but didnt think a computer making horrible sounds was a bad thing. I think the cpu died, since there are no startup beep signals that normally happen, it doesnt even trigger the monitor to come out of sleep mode. No hard drive access, no cd spool up, nothing... Crap..................... Off to Fry's

My cpu on my desktop overheated (dead fan). Now it wont boot up at all, its a 1.1 ghz athalon cpu. I've replaced mobo's before, but had a problem with the hard drives needing formatted with the new cpu/motherboard combo. I dont want to lose the info (family pics and videos) on the hard drives. Any advice? Also, any advice on a decent but inexpensive combo? I surf the internet every day and game now and then, so I dont need top of the line stuff. Help??? Thanks,

I have to weigh in on the 02 LS1's HP readings. In my 2002 Camaro SS w/8000 miles, I dyno'd at 330 to the wheels, this car was violently fast. An LS6 cam swap gave me exactly 350. Lost a couple of Ft/Lbs though. Then I went crazy and did computer programming and a 150 wet shot. Talk about brutal!!

So what does it cost to start a real business???
Workinprogress replied to Mikelly's topic in Non Tech Board
I'm surprized and pleased that you project being in the black so early. I'm sure you guys are the right people at the right time and place to get out of the red that quick. Good luck. (My parents started several small businesses, they were in the red for the first year in most cases, sometimes longer) However, they didnt sell to Uncle Sam. Once again, good luck -

Anybody ever hear of '70 Fairlady 2+2?
Workinprogress replied to Workinprogress's topic in Miscellaneous Tech
I havent seen the car, but I'll follow up with the guy to see WTF is the real story. -
A guy I work with said his dad just picked up a RH Drive 1970 Fairlady Z, 2+2. I've never heard of it before, he said it's been in a garage since the late 70's and still has glossy paint. The guy freakin bought it for $800!!! Supposedly it was bought by a Navy guy stationed over there then brought back when he transferred to CONUS. Any news?

You may also do a search of ls1tech.com. Those guys over there have rebuilt everything related to the F-body. (this covers LT1's and LS1's)

When making metal radiator piping... steel alright?
Workinprogress replied to a topic in Miscellaneous Tech
If you have it powder coated, make sure its been blasted well inside especially (to ensure the coating will have teeth to grab onto) Otherwise, powdercoating chunks in the cooling system sounds bad to me. -
I'm not an FI guy nor a turbo guy, but coudnt you just mount a "y" block after the FPR and run equal lenght lines to each end of the fuel rail, then your max distance away from the FPR is reduced by 50% ?

At my new shop at work, we have a walk in blast machine that is 20ft by 25ft by 10ft. It uses steel shot and/or garnet. Both can be used simultaneously and are returned with augers under floor grates, the media is then separated with air streams and magnetism then recycled. This is the mother of all blasters, it will put a serious profile on the hardest steel, it feels like sandpaper afterwards. (I'm secretly learning to powder coat and will do my suspension on a saturday when no one else is working)

Hmmm, the pictures are not there when I try at work, but here at home. Nevermind the idiot with the overactive firewall at work........

Oil galley end plug, where to buy??
Workinprogress replied to Workinprogress's topic in Nissan L6 Forum
I have no problem tapping the block but was thinking twice and thrice about attempting to run a tap in the crank. Thanks, -
Hello all, I'm prepping my block for a rebuild, I'm about to remove the front and rear oil galley plugs to ensure the oil passages get very clean. Where can I get plugs that I can put in? (I know I have to tap the block) Are they just standard npt plugs or even set screw types? I think I'm just looking for flush mount plugs right? I'm using the "how to modify your L6 engine" book along with how to rebuild books. Thanks,
