I'm not so sure about that last statement... We have had sparcos and Corboes in the shop side by side and the quality is almost identical... I think seats are a personal choice you really need to try out before buying... If you can, find someone with that seat in a car you can sit in...FIA rating would be a concern for me, but might not be for you if you aren't going to track the car...although if I'm spending that kinda coin, why not make sure it IS FIA rated! Nope, it won't work. The input shaft and bellhousing depth should be all wrong for the LS1... You'd be better off either getting a T56 for the LS1 or I'd preffer the Tremec and a bellhousing to make it work... Much lighter in the long run and STOUT! Mike

I hear you Pere. I understand FULLY where you are coming from and I'm on board with a reform of some sort... I don't disagree that Bush is trying to everhaul the system, much like he is working towards MASS TORT reform... I'm for BOTH... BUt I just don't want MY parents (I'm being 1000% selfish here) to be casualties in the "Fix"... I doubt it would happen anyway, but the point is that we've marched so far down a road that to turn back now, some noses are going to get wrinkled... Social security does NOT work... We need an overhaul... Much like our aging and out dated COURT system, and so many other things in America! Mike

I've got an opposing view on this one... My mother was a stay at home mom who raised her kids (All four of us) and did her best to manage a construction worker's salary... My father was that construction worker and still is. He can't afford to retire at 66 because his wife (My mother) would NOT at age 62 have health care... He paid a ton into social security because he was raised in a generation to do so, thinking it would be there FOR HIM and his wife... Construction workers don't get great benefits to start with, and aren't paid top salaries, and only in the last 15 years was my father able to contribute to an outside retirement accoung for both financial and company related reasons... Raising a family of 6 on a salary that more often than not was less than 35K per year, living in the Washington DC area... YOU do the math. I suppose with his 10th grade education, My father could have qualified to do WHAT other jobs? Don't know... but the point is, we are passing judgement on a people and a generation that was raised to believe this system would be there FOR THEM in their golden years... It would be nice if those who had millions in the bank would return it to the system for those less fortunate. I don't expect that to happen... I'm preparing to pay for my mother's healthcare so my father CAN fully retire. I will carry her on a policy until she is 65 and qualifies for Medicare. She does start to collect Social Security this year, and it will help them get by... Living their POSH lifestyle in their trailer in Orange County Virginia... Living it up on government money, boy that's the high life... I guess the point I'm getting at here is that WE, IN OUR generation are NOT banking on uncle sam assisting us... We have 401Ks and all sorts of investment options to exhaust and prepare ourselves for our golden years. We are also a little less trusting of big government and a LOT more capable of providing and planning for ourselves... Our parents (At least Mine) weren't... I'll not feel one bit guilty paying the rates I do into the Social Security fund, so long as they (My parents) are using it... once they are gone, I may change my view... But not until then.. My point here? There are two views from different sides of the fence... I'm on the other side and the grass is not so green either! Mike

You choose not to believe what is fact, which means you choose not to accept fact. The personal side of things was that YOU DID align me with Hitler and Bin Ladden in another post... I may be in extreme disagreement with you on something which I believe I am 100% correct and you are 100% uninformed. Pop, and everyone else for that matter, I prefer to refer to it as peeling the layers of an onion. Bottom line is some of us can pick up the phone and say "Turn on CNN in 2 hours and just watch, that's all I can say..." with good reason... Some of us can't... There are truths about our government that most people will never understand, and therefore will have to rely on other (Less credible) sources for... That's where your left leaning media giants come into play... THEY get denied access just like anyone else without the clearance...You think that makes them happy? SOOOO they splash whatever muck they see fit to print across their rags for two purposes... Selling copy and supporting THEIR agenda... Has nothing to do with truth and honor... Media and print journalism have simply gone to the bottom of the professional barrel and will forever have a black stain against the profession. From my vantage point, I can say with a great deal of certainty that we are in a stronger position now than we have been in the past decade. We will move foreward, will not become embroiled in yet another conflict until we are done with Irag, and will be just fine... We'll see a slight increase in cost of living, inflation will rise, and we will see something close to what we experienced in the late 80s and early 90s... And then it will turn around again... The media will pump it and hype it and make mothers and fathers across this land tremble with fear of a financial collapse, and link it directly to the fallout after 9/11 and GWB's need for war drums... and so the song will go until they find another Bill Clinton they can get behind... It is cyclic and nothing will change... Sit back and watch... It will be down right disgusting. We'll blame it all on Bush because this country and our culture have a need to pin "IT" on someone... If we can't get Bin Ladden, then GWB will do. Afterall, he was the guy at the helm when the attacks occured... Even if only for 8 months... STILL HE SHOULD BE HELD accountable... Nevermind the fact that he was voted into office TWICE... Yes TWICE. The "Recount" in Flordia proved that Ole' Wooden Al Gore would have lost anyway... Stings, doesn't it? Anyway, bottom line is we'll need a rope and a tree, but since that is illegal, we'll hammer him in our liberal press... People from both sides of the fence will eventually come out against Bush, especially once the tide turns on the financial market and we lose even more money in the stock market, and interest rates continue to climb. Heaven forbid someone lose another 600K from a MULTI-Million dollar retirement... Nevermind the fact that the "average" guy doesn't even HAVE a HOPE of that kind of retirement...
