  1. I had some crazy electrical issues with regards to my turn signals too. If you unplug the directional relay does it still turn off the motor when the turn signal switch is activated? My issue turned out that two wires I had plugged in from the ignition/combo/directional switch harnesses switched and plugged into the wrong wires. Just a thought.
  2. Hey guys, I see tons of turn signal issues on here but never one just like this (that I could find). All lights work. Front back right left all corners when the headlights are on. When I flip the turn signal to the right, both the front valance and the rear tail blink (as expected). When I flip the turn signal to the left, the rear tail blinks but the front valance light remains unchanged. (If the headlights are on it stays lit solid, and if the headlights are off it stays off). This is the last of my electrical boogie monsters and I have no idea what it is. Any ideas??
  3. Awesome. That puts me square in "the gray zone"! My scalloped hubs and short rotor points to me needing an older style rotor. Thanks for all the help guys.
  4. Sh*t. So it looks like I have 280z rotors on a 240z hub... I wish my ebay history went back that far so I could confirm I bought the wrong ones or not. ebay rotors ftl..
  5. Hey all, I installed these front brake rotors about a year ago and just started to try and install the calipers. I bought them online and they were definitely for a 1973 240z. Does this look right?? It looks like the rotor is too far away from the heat shield which would explain the fact that the caliper wouldn't fit on. Any idea why this would happen? Did I install them wrong or are they the wrong size? Any way to tell? Thanks all...
  6. These Grommets from Sears worked perfectly. Works! Thanks all!
  7. Thanks for all the help guys! Going to grab the rubber bits and install it today.
  8. My issue is that I no longer have any of the original equipment. The car has been disassembled for over three years.
  9. Hey all, I picked up a champion 3 core for my 1973 240z and I want to install it. The bits for my original radiator are looong gone. Is this thing supposed to have some rubber in between it and the chassis? Anyone have a pic or two of how its supposed to mount and with what? If its just metal to metal that's cool but it seems like its bad practice. Thanks.
  10. Hey guys, I wasn't able to find a topic on this so maybe you guys can help. I have a set of autometer gauges that I have installed in my dash. These gauges dont have a provision for L/R Directional, Brake Warning, and High beam indicator lamps so I am creating an LED panel that will have these lights in the steering wheel console. All the bulbs in the dash only have on Red and Blue wire that sends power to the existing bulbs (easy enough to figure out) except the Brake Warning indicator bulb. This has two. One is power Green/Yellow and the other Yellow/Green connects to the e-brake switch. Is the Yellow/Green ground? I have been told otherwise but I don't know enough about electricity to understand what it is from the diagram. Below is the bulb.
  11. Nice! I dont need a whole set but how much are they? Any chance I could just get two or three of them?
  12. I am currently running my brake lines and do not have the original rubber brake line insulators that fit into the clips pictured. Can anyone help me find these online or a suitable substitute? I searched the site and didn't find anything relevant. Im looking for the ones that go into the engine bay. Thanks.
  13. Totally not worth it. Give me this guys number and Ill take care of it for you.
  14. Im about to cave and just buy the 215/50/15s. Its not worth delaying my build even further.
  15. Just as soon as I posted this comment they called me. Not able to get my tires and a week late but Im glad they finally called. Some sort of low rent operation. I am glad I was able to cancel my order without calling my credit card company.
  16. Yeah Im sure they were fine at some point. At the moment they appear to be defunct.
  17. Word of warning to anyone who has read this thread, do not buy from onlinetires.com. They do not answer the phone or emails and you can't leave a message because their mailboxes are all full. They must have gone out of business but left their website up. They are completely un responsive.
  18. Yeah please don't spend $1000 on an ebay pc. Get a Dell with a warranty and a professional level operating system. A lot of their "home" pcs come loaded with a zillion software demos that they try and sell you.
  19. I called them and I waon hold for an hour before I gave up. Ill call them after the holiday and see where were at.
  20. Thanks for the recommendation killer. Ill check them out if this order falls through. I just placed an order on onlinetires.com for exactly the tires I was looking for. They didn't specify whether or not they were in stock so I am thinking they intend to ship direct from the manufacturer. Too bad I verified with the mgr already that they have no set plans to fill the existing orders. But, well see how it goes. Thanks for the tip on onlinetires.com. Hopefully it works out!
  21. Lol yeah Tony I was half joking. But to be honest, for me to have absolutley zero issues finding even the silliest little part for this car, and the major issue I run into is finding the tires.. you gotta admit that that seems a little backwards. Thanks for all of the tips guys! I will check all of those resources now. Much appreciated. And just so you know there are almost no high performance fires in that size on ebay either. Just all seasons and stuff.
  22. Not that I could see. Just slicks and R-compounds in 225/45-15.
  23. Drax: Tire rack only has a pair of yokohamas. Those BF Goodrichs are the ones I was lined up to buy but according to them they aren't even making them right now. Khumo ASTs are all season tires. I've had really poor performance from them in the past. I refuse to run an All season when the car is for summer only. John are there other resources that you can recommend? I've tried all the big sites, tirerack, discount, etc. I will research 225/45s though. I can't remember if I tried that size or not.
