  1. Wow.. I'd be jealous if I believed you.
  2. Hey wrenchers. I just pulled my dash and found a lovely mouse house in my heater. Gross. So I yanked the whole thing out. Are you guys keeping these monstrosities? I plan to only drive it in the summer months, and track it once or twice a month. Should I keep it or sell it? Is it worth anything? thanks.
  3. Yeah, unfortunately not a feature length film but a really cool set of indie music videos. The third one Targa is still on its way. posted these last week. http://dirtys30.blogspot.com/2010/09/russ-chimes-midnight-club-ep-pt-1-2.html
  4. If that was an import I guarantee they would be on a "Street racer" witch hunt.
  5. I dig the idea of a rat Z race car. That was one of my early brainstorms. cant wait to see progress pics
  6. My seat brackets on the driverside def need to be redone. I think "inertia" may have played a role.
  7. Nice black 280zx right at the end of the new Blackberry BBM commercial. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yctj_nc_oAk Want.

  9. I think what he must have meant was "re" built.
  10. What a terrible thing to do... my heart weaps for that poor poor chassis.
  11. Lol@ scrapbooking for your car. I guess a build blog is the new high tech version so i shouldn't talk. Glueing it to the shift knob makes some sense since its a 4 speed knob and im swaping a 5 speed in. Any other ideas?
  12. I finally gutted the interior of my 1973 240z to scrape the floors and see what my rust situation is like. In doing so I found a US dime from the year my car was manufactured. What should I do with it?
  13. Awesome news. I knew I was doing something wrong. I couldn't get my head around it. I love that you guys knew all this cause there are ZERO resources for this part online. Can't wait to get her fitted up.
  14. hahaha That would do it! Backwards AND upside down. Thank you for the illustrations sir! Extremely helpful. I will flip it around tonight and see if I can get it lined up.
  15. Hey guys, I picked up a rear sway bar on ebay that had little to no information available online for it. It appears to be a Nismo Rear Sway Bar part#55611-E4622 a 25mm (1") RSB, where the only information I could find on it was from ClassicZCar.com and a post by "26th-Z" Quoted from post: "Datsun lists a rear stabilizer bar starting 8/73 - 55611-E8100 and starting 9/74 - 55611-N3701 but they don't say what size the bar is. Another part search reveals: (to 8/74) 55611-E4200 - 19mm 55611-E4621 - 21mm 55611-E4622 - 25mm Also listed is the mounting kit - 99996-E4010 and the end links 99996-E4020 The bars list for $150 each, and each installation kit lists for $30 Bushings are listed also: 54613-66000 - $194 ea. 2 req'd Courtesy Parts - Texas http://www.courtesyparts.com/" After picking the part up on ebay and going to test fit, it appears that the part doesn't fit properly. I very well might not be doing it right but take a look and tell me what you think. 1973 240z: The part: Around the Diff perfectly: Pass Side: Driver side: As you can see the mounting points over reach what I believe to be the mounting holes on my rear LCAs. Does anyone have any info on this part? Courtesy parts appears to have no record of this as I am sure it was discontinued a long time ago. Any help will be greatly appreciated! __________________
  16. I believe that the two tanks are not the same shape. I know that Early 1976 tanks will definitely not fit as halfway through the year they switched to the half sized spare tire which changed the shape of the tank and provided for more fuel storage. So unless I am mistaken, Early 1976 (before 6/76) will definitely not fit. And After 6/76 will PROBABLY not fit. But I am not an expert.
  17. Oh those are MINE brand.. as in GIMMIE. No idea but very nice!
  18. Yeah well I received my 25mm (1") Nismo rear sway bar today. There is absolutely NO documentation on this part online. The only info I could find on it is from ClassicZcar.com posted by "26th-Z". "Datsun lists a rear stabilizer bar starting 8/73 - 55611-E8100 and starting 9/74 - 55611-N3701 but they don't say what size the bar is. 19. I recently purchased what is said to be a Nismo 25 mm rear sway bar (1") on ebay. I have never in my life heard of or actually seen this part. I guess we will see if it is legit when it gets here!
  20. Hey guys, Having a hard time trying to find how many pulses per revolution our coils send out to the tach. Is there an easy way to figure out the RPMs if I have the pulses per second/minute from my coil?? Thanks.
