    Will do! I will probably be there at least within the next 6 months. One way or another, I'll be driving to or from there. Would be cool if I could find a decent project car while there. We'll see...

    I'm on a lot of Z33 forums, and even then there's hardly a hybrid 350z. Most of them build on the VQ engine and focus on the internals. Not really. A few but not a lot.

    It's not a roll bar. The frame is more specific for the ZR, but there is no factory bar. You have to buy an aftermarket kit.

    I second that. This is good reading for the noob that I am. I'm still researching and reading about which bodystyle I want to dive into. I've been told that the 240 has a 'weaker' frame for those who want a powerful engine. At this point, I'm not sure which S30 I want to go with, but it sounds like I might lean towards a 280. However, I'm also following another member on here who's inspired me to look into the 240 frame.

    Man, the next time I get to ABQ, I'd like a look at your project. Sounds amazing. MY MIL and BIL live there, and I graduated from Hobbs. Good to see that my favorite site (350z-tech) is being used for research.

    Now that's inspirational from the standpoint of a project. I will some day be at that stage. That's an awesome pic. I like the lines and style. Clean, subtle, and sexy.

    OMG, I love this thread. I'm subscribing! If I can find a restoration project or even a fairly priced Datsun, I want it to be white. Here's my current white Z.

    I guess he was being a d-bag. Maybe the town is so small that he didn't expect traffic and wanted to see if you'd spook and run for it. It's probably a scare tactic to get a reason to pull you over. Then again, there's no difference when some civilian does it. Still makes them a d-bag.

    I wouldn't powder coat the entire car. Maybe certain parts, but not the exterior. Resale would be down the tubes if someone wanted your car but didn't like the color or style.

    Black cars are slow.... but I like this swap. Car looks good. Way to rep the 350Z. Dave, I'm really digging your sig. That's a sweet 280.
