Not entirely sure whether I am understanding, but I would honestly prefer whatever looks more OEM, as I am hoping no one without an untrained eye will be able to tell the difference between my OEM and yours. Are you referring to the inside diameter of the frame being 'tucked' or curved? Sticking with OEM will only help (unless it is badly designed to begin with), straying away from OEM has a higher chance of pushing some audiences away. No one has reproduced the OEM covers in the past (besides a vendor in Japan), and I imagine there will be a TON of people looking to replace their OEM pieces, who have not used other replicas simply because they aren't an OEM match. Thanks for all your hard work... these look great!

Not a Fujitsubo Exhaust, maybe just the muffler as DeLorean said. The Fujitsubo is twin pipes all the way back. Absolutely beautiful car!

I apologize if I have misled the conversation by stating that there were two versions! I just remembered reading that there was a flat version as well... I could be totally wrong. As Tony mentioned, I hope Alan can chip in here. Either way, looking forward to these reproductions!!

I look forward to your results. I'd be in for a set of aluminium polished, as well as bubbled lenses. Could you please post a picture of your set of headlight covers? Headlight covers have been known to have conflicting pre-drilled holes among the early and later (flat/bubbled) types.

Very correct. Apologies, I did not have the correct term. In that case, I am VERY interested in purchasing a set. Not sure if you are aware, but the standard covers come in TWO types. Mounting holes are different on the rings, but more importantly, the offset of the headlight is different. I mistakenly purchased a set of headlight covers that were less offset than the ones on my Fairlady. Of course, I'd be more open to purchase a set with the more offset "bubbled" cover. Low Offset (Flat) Rotated High Offset (Bubbled) Rotated Sorry for the flipped pictures, but I think you can see the difference. What type do you have?

I'd be interested in a set as well. I did, however, send my covers to someone on this form once before and the gentleman noted that he was able to reproduce the Gnose covers due to the shape, but was NOT able to reproduce the standard covers. Something to do with not having the right machinery.

I tried on a set my friend had, and there is no way these wheels clear aftermarket brake kits like Wilwoods or 4x4's. I have Wilwoods and it pretty much wouldn't fit due to the pure size of the caliper. -
Subscribing with lots of interest, as I have a set of headlight covers for the short nose. Been trying to source a good alternative.

Upper right... the original black fender mirrors have a longer neck I purchased the NOS set off eBay a few weeks ago! Beautiful job

Wheel and tire size? I have 15x8 +10 offset with a 8mm spacer. 215/45/16 Front and 225/50/16 Rear. I ran 225/50/16 in the rear because of rubbing on the front valance. If you do not have a front valance, but a MSA airdam (or another) it you can fit 225, and it looks a lot better. They ran fine when I had Tokico Illumina Shocks and Tokico Springs. Now since you have flares, I am assuming you are going bigger... which I can't speak for. -
I did give credit where it is deserved. Look at my post of the cars findings on both here and CZCC. I mentioned you in both posts. I did look for a Fairlady Z ever since I got into Z's. Finding it through someone else is finding... I didn't DISCOVER its existence... You did that. ------------ To OP, I hope you find one soon!

I did the full conversion to 280Z booster and 1" Wilwood Master Cylinder, running Wilwood Fronts and Rears. The car feels MUCH better, but my head doesn't hit the steering wheel when I brake hard. Am I missing something? I bled, and had the system professionally bled. Maybe a proportioning valve is required?

I work in Santana Row, and live in the South Bay as well. That is a beautiful Z you have there. I am surprised no one has mentioned Highway 9 and Skyline Blvd. The BEST hill climb roads IMHO as far as NorCal goes. Send me a PM when you are in the area, we could all have some small group outings I am also a frequent attendee of the SR Saturday meets.

I don't believe there is any different besides the fact that all HS30 and HLS30 are 2.4L motors (s30s being 2.0L). My Z is a Japanese spec HS30 240Z-L... so it is RHD, but unfortunately not for sale hehe. Took me over two years to find one in the States =\ The price you mentioned is about right... Good luck with your search!
