  1. There is no reason it won't make 300rwhp. A friend of mine just did this same swap on a Colorado, and he made like 310 rwhp if I remember correctly.
  2. Well its ordered.... couldn't help myself.
  3. Thanks for the feedback guys. I'm just hoping this wheel and hub will be the right distance from me (no dish spec is listed) so that's really all that's keeping me from pulling the trigger.
  4. How much for a pair of these bare, with speaker provisions (at least one in the pass)? Or are they available? Thanks
  5. Looking for a new wheel for my car. Don't want to go much smaller than 14" due to no PS and wide tires / spooled diff. Found this on ebay http://www.ebay.com/itm/MOMO-Steering-Wheel-Quark-Black-Black-Leather-350-mm-Free-MOMO-Tshirt-/390351673039?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr&hash=item5ae2c5d6cf#ht_1578wt_905 anyone have any experience with this wheel? Price seems right for a Momo, though the hub is like $75
  6. How low can you go with that setup? Also, could you post some pictures further away, or that weren't 6 times the size of my screen? but srsly
  7. Just bought some MOOG lower ball joints and outer tie rod ends from Rock Auto
  8. Mine is the one in the pictures, so yes. Personally (as did blake) think that brace is not only about 3 times as big as it needs to be, but an eyesore as well. I would feel comfortable cutting half of the brace out (or more), and still maintain PLENTY of structural integrity. In the future, I plan to build my own mounts, and get rid of this hunk o steel that takes up room.
  9. Cliff notes: Passenger side - remove starter, slip header in, re-install starter, bolt header up Drivers side - Pull motor mount bolt, lift engine (jack) slip header in, lower engine, install motor mount bolt (from the front was easier on mine - had to remove alternator), bolt header up. REQUIRED: Start it up to wake the neighbors with open headers
  10. Can you post some more info on the brake setup? I've thus far been unable to find a blank Wilwood hat, to be drilled for a 4 bolt, in the correct offset. I think the setup you have is amazing, and would like to duplicate it, but probably using the full 11.75" rotors, and adding .5" vertical offset to the caliper mount (if possible). I would also like to see some pictures of the brackets that you built (are they done?) for the rear. If I could get the correct hats in the correct offset, what would be the chances of me slipping you a couple greenbacks and having you machine a set of brackets for the rears? PM me to keep from diluting your thread if you'd like. Josey
  11. Thanks for the info, but the wire is ran, and the harness is wrapped up. Basically everything is its own entity now. Also worked on mounting the PCM. Here's the PCM bracket that I built. I did some eyeball measuring, and I THINK that it will be free from interference with the glove box. If it does interfere, it is only a quick cut and weld away from fitting. This is what its replacing - as most of the factory wiring is gone now. Mounted With PCM Another fun filled day of wiring Whew it got late!
  12. Ah. Thanks for the info. I'm just going to assume that the BAMF flares fit nicely (at least they better for the scrilla ) So i've seen like one or two cars with those flares, but what tires? a 315 rear and a 275 front? 245? what will look good, and not have to hack everything on the car?
  13. Alright. Yes i've read and re-read the FAQs like 10 times. If my shocks would just get here then this wouldn't be an issue......
  14. Well i'm not really looking. I have one thats been ordered.... thanks though update Spent a LONG ass time on the engine harness and body harness yesterday. To the tune of 7-8 hours. Found out that the moron who built the harness removed the high speed fan pin, so I'm currently looking for a pin to put in the PCM connector... :eyes: Other than that, I got the plate for the relays done, and the relay section of the harness, and the gauge portion of the harness shortened. I added weatherpack connectors to connect the engine harness to my dash gauges. Also, the trigger wire for the harness relay, and the trigger wire for the starter. Basically made the harness so i can pull it in about 5 minutes, only unbolting it from the starter. The remainder of the fuel system should be here tomorrow, then its off to the fab shop! slow progress....
  15. lol yeah i have a cart i built jut for that. a large furniture dolly works as well, just not as good.
  16. You should get to work in that shop and get some brackets for those brakes built! Haha. Good talking with you the other day man.
  17. OK now i'm super confused. When I spoke with you a while ago John, I told you that i was doing a ground control coilover kit, and planned on sectioning the struts. So are you saying that these won't be appropriate for my application, because i'm planning on lowering the car ~2+"? Anyway, I guess i have four of them now........
  18. Welcome to the club man!I believe you posted up on my build on LS1tech.
  19. apparently the squeaky wheel gets the grease! I just got a UPS tracking number from them saying they've shipped. the package is light though... 8#.... hope its a misprint
  20. Alright, I'm in the process of building my 280z, and trying to eliminate unnecessary weight along the way. I'm going to be shaving the rear bumper soon. As i was under the car yesterday, I saw two brackets that have to weigh 2-3# each. The bolt holes can be seen through the rear sheet metal, in the orange boxes below. I was curious if they actually do anything, because they have one bolt to the frame, and then look like they might be spot welded on as well. I don't really see the rear "bumper" losing much structural integrity if i take them out. I was just curious. This is not my car, just a generic pic.
  21. def. SBC mounts..... hmm. Pics of the trans and tunnel. BTW HOLY BIG PICS BATMAN
  22. so I took your advice and ordered them off ebay......19 days ago They're back ordered, and they won't know how long out until after march 1. FML Anywhere ELSE to get them? Or are there other available comparable options?
