  1. I've been able to locate the shorter axles for the swap, and the CV's, and companion flanges, but I can't find the little disks shown here on the right lower corner - "end stops" any help?
  2. You're killing me. Drove to wichita yesterday to get one.
  3. DO a 4K. You won't regret it. It will be an absolute animal, and if you have lockup, whats the big deal? Don't go cheap though. Go with a precision industries or yank converter. Expensive yes, but they each give you a free re-stall, and they won't come apart and damage your trans. Even one with a documented fresh re-stall would be good. The PI vigilantes run a bit loose, as do the yank PT's. The yank SS's are about spot on. For reference my vig 4000 would actually flash to 4400. MAN would that thing get you moving. HOWEVER 4K might be a bit much on a turbo car. SO, you might be happier in the 3K range. IDK, that's just LS1 fbody knowledge dripping out.
  4. Now you have me re-thinking my Q45 swap. What are you planning on doing as far as a pumpkin goes? Longnose R200 with a LSD?
  5. I just documented 29.2 on a 4 hour trip yesterday in my 5.3 /T56 280. Not QUITE the 30 I hoped for, but close!
  6. Well I took the Z on a parts run today (for itself) lol. I drove 2 hours each way for an infinity Q45 diff and axles. Lookie what I found in a little po-dunk town where we had to stop because the GF had to use the restroom. What are the odds?! The car drove great, and it managed 29.2mpg rolling 80 the whole way. Not bad
  7. YES!!!!!! You will get tired of that welded diff though. Hope its not a project you plan on pushing around the shop The welded rear isnt THAT bad. I have one in my 280. It does chirp around corners, and will eat tires faster, but it will give you traction!
  8. http://thethrottle.thechive.com/2012/02/14/kcir-before-politics-and-after-politics-14-photos/ It WAS hands down the best track in the KS / MO region.
  9. Maybe all the people that don't condone street racing shouldn't vote to shut down dragstrips as well then? Because Kansas City, Mo just proved that it only takes a couple whiny rich people in power to do that
  10. Gotcha. I hope my cable brackets survived the last shop cleaning.
  11. I have 240sx rear brakes on my car, and I was curious what people are using for the e-brake cable brackets? I'm sure I could devise something to make it work with the 280z brake cables, but I'd rather see what other people are using. Thanks
  12. Kansas. lol. smack dab in the middle of the US. And yes, I would haha. It would help fund this hobby lol.
  13. Located a rear end and axles a couple hours away. Gonna put a new u-joint in the PS axle to limp it to the salvage yard to buy parts lol. Trying to save some money on gas. Other than some gut-wrenching sounds from the rear, the car did phenomenal yesterday on the cruise. I drove it 75 miles, and even got a few good races in. Raced a stock ls1 fbody, put about 4 cars on him from a 30-130 roll. Raced a heads/cam Trans am, he put about 2 cars on me from the same roll. Also raced a 600+ WHP c5 z06. He put about 3 cars on me. It definitely surprised some people, and put a lot of smiles on.
  14. You'll like that borla muffler. I have a buddy that has one on a 5.3 colorado here in town. Its quite quiet, even with headers.
  15. OK. I'm finding the pumpkin for about 100-150, and the axles at about 50 bones each. So say 350 for two pairs of axles, and the diff. Its so hard to find anything here in KS!!!! The closest one is 2 hours away. Either the yards here are crushing anything over 10 years old because scrap is high, or they don't have imports. GRRR. Whats the best place to get the adapters? And I need just two pairs of axles, or one side specific? Need to search that i guess.
  16. it WAS lincoln locked (welded) How much do you usually wrap up in a q45 setup?
  17. Need a 90-96 infinity q45 rear diff and axles. My rear is taking a dump.
  18. Well its time to start shopping for rear ends! I took a buddy for a ride tonight, and the rear started making some noise. Checked it, the PS outer u joint has some slap, and with the driver's wheel in the air, there is an equal amount of slap in the carrier . Oh well, I knew it would happen eventually.
  19. I expect 30+ from my LM7 (5.3) and t56. Had my tuner load a lean cruise file, so it should do well.
  20. Where are you getting the $300 figure?
  21. I want a Suzuka pro sooooooo baaaaaaaad. I want my seats to match though, and I don't want to drop 2K on seats and harnesses. I actually got really excited when i clicked on this link, but thats where I was already window shopping. So, what is a "good deal"?
  22. Hmmmmm Ok. I'll JUST be getting back from Europe (taking a little vacay after school is over). Maybe the 1st I could make it.
