  1. so half of my life is consumed by searching the internet and ive come across this: http://www.modern-motorsports.com/catalog/product_info.php?manufacturers_id=&products_id=12 those are the MM coilovers.. then these http://www.modularmustangracing.com/ go to products, theres the same basic thing.. the owner posts on Turbomustangs, heres what he says: The MMR kit will allow for a fully adjustable ride height and saves 20lbs, they include all components for a trouble free install, the drag spring rate is used in our Turbo Charged 5.4 race car to consistently 60 ft in the 1.28 range. They fit all year vehicles from 86-04 and fit all front struts except Billstein. The road race kit has great adjustabiltity and provides noticably improved handling by removing the spring pressure from the A-arm bushings and moving it to the spindle for a true race set-up allowing the A-arm to react quicker to road changes and driver input. This is not an econo coil over kit. All parts are 100% US machined billet aluminum w/ torrington roller bearings for smooth wheel articulation and adjustment. Take advantage of our special pricing. now from what I see, if the diameter is the same, couldnt I use the same kit?
  2. I didnt feal anything.. OH WAIT!! im in the middle of NOWHERE!!!! onlything out here to worry about is flash floods and tornados..
  3. Ill be going with 350Z orange, and maybe a flat black for the rockers(road debrise).. I like alot of the chops, but dont know if the stripes would go will with that shade...
  4. I definitely will.. Indy mustang has some 9" housings Im betting hed trade for mine.. I like the idea of U-bolts so I dont have to get adjustible upper control arms to change the pinnion angle but the rear doesnt even have UCA mounts.. rents due, then comes the rear...
  5. JUST A... should I keep the Ubolt setup or weld in brackets? thank you for the link, if I stay Ubolt you will see a simmilar device on a Z ill get it shortened here soon, once I clean out the underside, remove the fuel tank and cut out the back floor we'll see how I set it up..
  6. i just got mine heated, and poped them out
  7. my 260, 280 motor, 2 new seats where FREE!!!
  8. i just noticed I suck at spelling, Id love for someone to correct it if they could, so people could get this when they search..
  9. sorry about the no pic, its on a CD and my cd drive is being weird... dr_hunt, how would it handel turns? ill prob have to go all drag with this car anyway also, what coilovers did you use??
  10. ok I went out into my garage and looked at it, its not from a truck its from a old fastback mustang. It uses a spring type setup with big Ubolts and brackets, i have a pic: I havent put it under the car yet to lign up how I want to do it, but Ill prob put a crossbar through the frame and weld the coils to that. What coils should I use? and what sets the angle to the bar? As for how to do the front bars I dont have a clue, thats why im asking
  11. ok guys, ive searched and searched, but all the old threads are gone(NUKE) and says not to bookmark them and blah blah.. I have a ford 9" sitting in my garage ready to go(non disc of course) and I know how it bolts up in a mustang.. but I LOVE the style of mikes coilover and S/S setup.. only thing is Im not tubbing the car(going with flares). my question is, do I have to make that new rear frame? or is that just because he tubbed it? any new links or new advice would be awesome...
  12. i would never drive w/o the bov or some type of re-circ. flutter is a sound heard with a bov, and is the air coming back on itself and slowing the turbo down and putting force on the shaft in reverse. 24psi? no recirc, pop off, or bov? good luck on that lasting. HKS SSQV. is what ill be going with, Ill have a ford motor, but gotta keep the rice in me.. and if you arnt making the pipes your self, plastic is a great Idea.. make the pipes, and take them to a shop.. say "make these".
  13. Master Power GT-45 1.05AR exaust .66 compressor over 1khp supported.. made by a brazilian company.. they make all the turbos for race teams down there.. I did alot of research and found alot of people with alot of good things to say.. so we'll see how it does on my 69 351w
  14. good thing this doorstop came in the mail:
  15. just curious, why did you switch from the stock guages? are they inacurate or did your swap not meet up? If I have to swap them, im just going to sell the ones I have.
  16. is the infinit adjustibility really worth the $200?
  17. ok, this is the store im getting it from, Im getting a 25-30 discount by getting it localy.. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=45032&item=7521968217&rd=1 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=45032&item=7522460080 almost $200 difference... what do you think?
  18. im going to get the hobart most likely, where the hell did you get it for 250? im looking at 450 w/a cart.. Id like it infinitly adjustible, and if its not to much different I will go for the miller. but I dont see it being that little different.. every month is a different major purchase, last month I bought my turbo(GT45) and got my motor being built. problem was after I cut everything(and primed it) there was gaping holes everywhere, I cant make my mounts, I cant fix the pannels, or anything untill I get the welder. ill let you know wends what I go with, and how much..
  19. how much is a deal? I can get a 5.0 complete with harness for $500,
  20. i belive all of that year came with the forged pistons.. have not heard any deffinates though.. how many miles? rebuilds are cheap..
  21. yeah I planned on using gas, and ill have plent of left overs from a shop to practice on
  22. goes over my price range on it.. i would LOOOVEE a miller, but honestly I dont see myself welding much past this summer..(HOPE NOT!!) but i will be welding all the time till the Z runs..
