  1. I've searched and searched but unfortunately haven't been able to find an answer. Looking to order new wheels here soon and was wondering if anybody has done 17x10's on the front under a regular sized Zg flare. The wheel's I'm thinking about are the XXR 526's, there's a thread on here about them as well, and I don't really want to run a staggered setup. I figure since they are going to need spacers anyway that if there is an offset that will work for the front I can get to it using correct spacers. So any opinions/options would be greatly appreciated. Tire options I'm considering are 245/40r17 front and 255/40r17 rear or more likely 245/40r17 all the way around. Thanks for the help.
  2. It's a Next Level Motoring exclusive or something like that...
  3. The diagram makes it look like the lip would stop even with the mounting surface, where as with the 526's I think the mounting surface is actually more outbound (towards the fender) than where the lip stops. Sooooo the real question is who is gonna be the first to get these and try them out...?
  4. Ahh, I thought you had gotten some 7" Led headlights such as THESE. I'd really like to see something like this on a Z
  5. Now I am in no way condoning or recommending cheating, but in situations like that I really believe that getting a teacher's edition of your book can be a great help. You obviously can't just copy the book's answers because you will be cheating yourself out of a class you paid for and most likely fail all the tests as well, but I found that having a resource that has the right answers AND the correct steps on how to solve them can be a great resource especially when the teacher is failing in that aspect. I REALLY hope that this doesn't come off like I'm encouraging cheating but it can be a great resource if you use it appropriately. Hope it helps and good luck with statics
  6. From here: Offset calculator So if I am reading this correctly, which is questionable lol, with a 1 inch spacer it should leave you with 5.3 inches of backspace which should clear. The other thing to worry about is how these will fill out the flares... So, with the spacer it will give you 5.2 inches from the mounting surface to the outside edge of the wheel, this seems like it could work since the Rota measures 5.45 inches from the mounting surface to the outside edge of the rim. Hopefully that is all correct
  7. They look good but are you going to have to run some fairly big spacers?
  8. When I installed the Lt1 all but one injector were completely stuck, so I definitely think it's a possibility. But I would make sure they are receiving the correct pulse before anything else.
  9. How long has that motor sat? If the PCM is pulsing the injectors correctly then they might just be stuck closed.
  10. CrazyOctopus did a pretty good write up in his build thread HERE
  11. While my Z hasn't gotten on the road yet, I gotta say I love the stripped interior look. (Excuse the seats)
  12. Not on the road yet... Got it started for the first time today though! Had some trouble with the cylinders not getting any fuel even though there was pressure and the pcm was pulsing the injectors correctly. Ended up taking off my fuel injectors and cleaning them by hand, all but one were stuck closed. After they got put back on it fired up on the first try! Obligatory video (the loud beep is a text message) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C6TvJuexwRY
  13. I live on the north side of town, but my Z is a long ways from driving There's not too many Datsun's in this area.. Maybe 2 or 3 Z's that are out on a regular basis.
  14. I'm guessing these are different than 280z ones correct? If not I've got some from a 280.
  15. Car looks absolutely amazing as usual man. You wouldn't happen to have this picture in higher quality would you?
  16. A little update on the Z car... I was never really comfortable with the wiring job I did on the harness so I pulled it out, yet again , spent about a week reading about the Lt1 wiring, and finally, I completely disassembled it and rebuilt it from scratch. Now I know it is perfect so I'm much happier. I have also sent off my PCM to have VATS and a bunch of other stuff removed along with receiving a really minor base tune. Got in a big order of parts that included a new shifter, big tranny cooler, and all of the electrical things I will need to wire the car. Which is what I have been working on... Heres a pic of my fuse/relay panel that will be mounted under the dash. It's not quite complete yet.. I'm hoping to have it started the day I get my PCM back
  17. I wish I had a shop like that! Once I get moved in I should have a nice space to work on it though. My Z's sooo close to moving under its own power, it just needs a little more time and a little more money...
  18. Hey, I was wondering if you'd find me on here.. Thanks for the compliments! Things for the Z are going kinda slow right now, I'm in the middle of a move and the Z has gotten kicked out of the garage for box storage Hopefully new updates will be coming in early July. Would LOVE to hear this thing run this summer, but I've been saying that since about 2007
  19. Great work on everything. I'm really liking the window setup!
