That's a common mod but it also affects bumpsteer so you'll need to determine how much affect it has. The inner LCA relocation is done to correct bumpsteer so focus on that. Use camber plates to gain camber. That would depend on how the camber plates are installed. Your adjustment rage is perfect if you can get from 0 to -3.5. I would tailor the installation to achieve that.

The 214s are only available in a 15 or 16" diameter. A 15" x 7" 214 weighs under 10lbs. and a 16" x 12" 214 weighs around 12lbs. The 311s can be made in 17" and come with a 6061T651 forged center. Jongbloed's own testing shows an 18% decrease in brake temps using these wheels on the track. The centers, rims, etc. are all made here in the US on Jongbloed's own tooling. Nothing comes over from China. As for pricing, I'll be selling them for 20% off list. To give you an example: A 15" x 7" 214 with the proper offset for a 240Z lists for $714 and I'll sell them for $571.20 each.

Look at the layup. You should see alternating layers of weave and yes, sometimes you can see light through CF parts that don't have a core.

Not strange at all. They probably sell doznes of RX7 body parts for each Datsun part sold. The 240Z market is very small compared to just about anything else except for Rambler and Hudson wide body kits.

All the steering shaft U-joints I've seen are staked. No driveline shop that I've shown them to will touch them. Right now, I just source another shaft to replace worn ones.

LT1 rev limit is 5,800 but the early ones ('92 and '93) were rumored to have a problem with the rods. Constant useage at high rpms (road race, LSR) saw a number of failures. In late '93 Chevy supposedly strengthened the rods for constant high rpm running.

One of the issues with aluminum race seats is what Preith mentioned, heat. Aluminum has a very high heat transfer rate so if the exhaust on your car is heating up the floorboards there's a good chance that heat will get into the seat. If the seat's aluminum, the heat will propogate all through it.

A part of the learing process, you just learned something! Most boards like this have rules that are posted and its important to read them before making your first post. Think of your entering a board for the first time as walking up to a group of people engaged in conversation. If you're the kind of person that starts talking immediately without listening to what everyone is talking about and how the conversation is going around the group, you won't be heard. Also, every board has a personality. Some are tolerant and some can be downright nasty. HybridZ is somewhere in the middle.

Weld it using stainless or nickel filler and it will be fine.
