  1. "Robin! Get me the anti-shark spray!" lol. But the LED switch would be interesting to see.
  2. I say fashion some sort of flip up swiss army knife...eh, maybe that's too much. Wait, this is Hybridz. Or maybe put a bottom on it and use it for business cards. Ok I'm sorry it's a long, slow day at work.
  3. So just a simple question like I said, is the bracket on the bottom of the grille important to anything? The grille I have on my car now has it, but I picked up another grille at the JY and it didn't have it. Just curious (sometimes too curious for my own good). Thank you much.
  4. http://orangecounty.craigslist.org/cto/1721077452.html Turns out the car is being sold on craigslist. Many lawls. Edit: A..um...SIMILAR car is being sold on craigslist? >cough<
  5. ^ I love it. japanesenostalgiccar.com is one that I frequent (lost interest in speedhunters, too much "hellaflush" and hondas for me). It also has a forum section which is pretty good, even though there are more Aussies on it (at least the datsun/nissan section).

I like your taste in the naughty my good man. I still remember the one time I went to the U.S.S Intrepid Museum in New York. It was a real treat.
  7. "Hey honey I'm taking the buggy down the coast for a little bit" ...
  8. Before everyone else jumps in...Grammar, punctuation, search, lather, repeat. In addition to the search, there is a whole section for stuff like that. Welcome to Hybridz.
  9. Ouch. I was looking at the amber lenses and some interior body panels. Now that I'm hearing all the horror stories from people that actually got in touch/bought from them, some serious doubts are occurring.
  10. Good luck with that. I've been trying to get stuff from them for a while but it's like they fell off the face of the earth. No replies to e-mail, phone, etc. If you do hear/see/find anything let me know.
  11. I'll definitely be watching this since I might have to go a similar way and I don't have the time to do a painless.
  12. Hey cygnusx1, which film did you choose? I tried looking up 1973 and they only have mercades and porche. Was it a universal one or...?
  13. Quoted from Japanese Nostalgic Car (JNC): "SEMA SECURES U.S. SENATE RESOLUTION DESIGNATING JULY 9th AS “COLLECTOR CAR APPRECIATION DAY†Lawmakers Acknowledge Importance of Collection and Restoration of Historic and Classic Cars Washington, D.C. (May 10, 2010) — The United States Senate passed Senate Resolution 513 (S. Res. 513) at the request of the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) and the Automotive Restoration Market Organization (ARMO) Council designating July 9, 2010 as “Collector Car Appreciation Day.†The resolution was the result of an effort undertaken by ARMO as a means to raise awareness of the vital role automotive restoration and collection plays in American society. S. Res. 513 was sponsored by Congressional Automotive Performance and Motorsports Caucus members Senator Jon Tester (D-MT) and Senator Richard Burr (R-NC). Senators Tester and Burr have been strong advocates for the automotive hobby in Washington, and S. Res. 513 reaffirms their understanding of the cultural importance of collector cars. The Caucus is an informal, non-partisan group that pays tribute to America’s ever growing love affair with the car and motorsports. The Caucus recognizes the integral role collector cars have played in fostering our nation’s appreciation for motorsports. The resolution was the result of an effort undertaken by SEMA and its councils as a means to raise awareness of the vital role automotive restoration and collection plays in American society. Restoration businesses help save our nation’s heritage while providing well-paying, high-skilled jobs nationwide. SEMA Vice President of Government Affairs Steve McDonald said, “We greatly appreciate the United States Senate’s recognition of the important role classic car restoration serves in our country. As Americans gather at car cruises and other events in conjunction with ‘Collector Car Appreciation Day’ on July 9, these vital contributions will be honored and preserved.†In recognition of the day, collectors and enthusiasts will be hosting events across the country. Jim Barber, Chairman of SEMA’s Automotive Restoration Market Organization (ARMO) Council said, “Individuals, car clubs, and businesses affiliated with ARMO are proud to be recognized as leaders in today’s economy. Car cruises, club gatherings, and other educational events will be scheduled for July 9 nationwide. ARMO is looking forward to assisting with these events and is appreciative of this special acknowledgment by the Senate.†Dennis Overholser, Chairman of SEMA’s Hot Rod Industry Alliance (HRIA) Council said, “HRIA’s commitment to preserving and promoting the automotive restoration industry through its projects and education programs is well represented by this Resolution. We are pleased that our elected officials have acknowledged our positive presence in local communities. I look forward to working with other business owners, collectors, and enthusiasts to make the inaugural ‘Collector Car Appreciation Day’ a success nationwide.†As part of “Collector Car Appreciation Day,†a variety of events are currently being scheduled to commemorate America’s time-tested love affair with the automobile. For a listing of events, please contact Jim Skelly, SEMA Council Director at 909/396-0289."
  14. Ah, whenever I see Tony D post, I can't help to think of Judge Dredd, somehow with the cool helmet.
  15. Calgary: That sounds pretty much like a HOA, and I have sifted through the novel of "Rules and Regulations" and it is funny how many people I can see that don't follow those rules, and it makes me wonder if they get the same "warnings" that I do. On another note, it seems someone was shot outside the building this morning, and when I parked my car on the street last night there was a bumfight pretty much where I parked in front of the building next door to mine. There goes the neighborhood, oh wait...
  16. Hmmm....I do have a turkey baster...and there are pets in the building....hmmm ideas.
  17. Ok, I must have some super stain...laquer thinner didn't work. Acetone didn't work. I'm thinking Muriatic Acid by now.
  18. I don't smell coolant, but what you described sounds almost exactly like what my car is doing. I don't know if the cold start is on or not. It doesn't look to bad , but considering I havn't had this motor for a month yet I'm realllyyy hoping its not a head gasket.
  19. Sweet, then after I pull that it should be somewhat easy to see if the cold start sensor is good or not.
  20. Well, the main intention of this was that I felt it was blown way out of porportion for a oil stain maybe 10" diameter at most.
  21. I'm guessing that injector would be near the front of the motor?
  22. I'll take a look into it. The mechanic I got the motor from said he was looking into a old style fuel controller. He described it as a small box with a few dials, for example dial 1 would be 2k rpm to adjust rich-lean. He said that would help with the richeness, but I'll see what I can do without that.
  23. ...I didn't know there was a choke for EFI. And yes, I start it, let it sit for about a minute or 2 and go, and the exhaust is straight.
