I second that motion..... You know I've never shoveled snow...... you know my trick? I live in California... XD Personaly Id Build a Wankel.... that **** is quiet, and rmps is good for the sand so i bet it good for the snow...... you know id pay someone to throw 1 L Series on one of those...... I was going to make a gocart with my Spare engine....

I'm Putting the finishes on my 2nd Z (zz4, (daemon 700 carb) and a 700r4 in my 81 280z) swap no Electronics all carb..... I've lost my JTR book in the time it took me to get my working 280z tach, what resistors do i need(am i just turnign a POT)? I remember about 50% of what needs to be done i just need know what resistor? or what ever.... or if someone can just sell me a converted tach for a 350 Chevy or tell me someone in the 818 area code (san fernando valley) Id much rather have them do it since i screw up stuff like this all the time

Looks like in 07 the camaro will be making a come back, God I love nothing more then shutting down people in camaros, you know the kind, you pull up next to the guy and he has the windows down and some rock blaring, probably sunglasses, and maybe some decent looking woman. You rev twice to get his attention over his bad music, he looks over at your little Z and laughs. You wait for the light and give him a little then gun it, before you know it you have a few lengths on him and look back and just giggle, b/c you built a 10-11second car for less then 15k....... and he spend what 35-40k for an SS? Meh OK well Id love to hear who you see as you "enemy" strictly speak make/model and what not... I heard there usta be a Z <-> Supra...... OK well have fun guys...

Wow thats a AWSOME Idea........ I <3 Carbs.... nothing like taking a weekend to clean them... mmmm the smell of solvent..... I wish I knew about that befor i opened the Electrical beast called the Ls1 Swap........ Seriously the hardest part of my first whole damb swap was the the wiring, I learned old skool with my dad and that was carbs and points......

DAMMIT!!! So i examined it much better today on the lift, and I found a CRACK in the Flange and a sheered bolt on the Exhaust manifold, Its warped the metal around the manifold flange a little, I think i might have a problem getting it flush again what do i do? junk it and buy a new one? weld? will this effect performance?

Ok so i have a faw small cracks i can see... can i fill it? the crack is in the middle of the pipes under the door jam, evidently the hangers stick down about 1/4" more then the reast of the car and when i bottomed out like i did it seems to of creased/tore the metal on the left side one.... do i need to take it to be redone? should i get ovals? can i get somethink to "fill" the cracks?

I haven't worked on problem like this in a few years by myself usually i had my dad double check me, I am pretty sure its just bad timing and before i started messing with it i wanted to check to make sure I wasn't over simplifying something..... help me out here, I have a zz4 (daemon 700 carb) and a 700r4 in my 81 280z when i am on gas or she is still cold she is smooth and sounds like a beast the second she warms up she looses some pep and when in coasting (20-30mph) will lightly misfire, if i hit the hammer hard or am on the freeway (75-100mph) and let off fast it sounds like there is a war in my muffler with pop booms and thwacks, if i ease off the gas seriously like 1lb at a time she is fine, but even then if i left off completely its back firing bad... I've TOUCHED NOTHING since i got it running 3 months ago this was a crate engine, and it ran perfect until about 2 days ago, it was the same day I bottomed out in the desert in one of those "whoops" you know the up and downs you can pull G's in at high speed, was doing 130+ (don't know didn't look until after it happened) car squatted down and there was a rut/groove down the middle of the road bumped the cars suspension just right, also add in the fact i had my friend that weights 300+ lbs and a full tank, i hit the pavement wasn't a really bad hit nothing was harmed (checked it on the lift) but it was a jolt to the car, enough to make me grind my teeth.

Has anyone tired this swap? I was looking at a 67 Roadster this week and that 4 and the SU carbs just kept making me think about my L20 sitting in the garage from my V-8 Swap...... I can already tell I'd have to get a thinner/relocate the Radiator, Dose anyone know of the mounting or anything is similar?

So I would be Putting down 5k for another clean body, 15k for the engine... so another 20k car...... that dose seem a little steep.... But my goal has ALWAYS been to guild the badest *** one of a kind Z, Ideas where Wankle (its been done), Steam piston kit (too much Z cutting), Electric Drag car (Cant drive it daily), AWD Mudding toy (been done)..... ::sigh:: this is my last shot at a one of a kind Z, unless you think i can shove a Viper V-10 in there......

how much horse SAE is 160 JP horse? Steel or Alum.???? how much do the head run for? .......... I got my SBC Z and i want to build like a 70 or 71 One of a kind... and i want a Straigh 6....... or atleast one no one has seen state side...

Found it Surfing, Wonder if it will bolt into a 240...... the name tells me it was a Police Engine, So i would assume it would of been a Japan only item, any one know HP? looks like 3 SU and DHOC.... Anyone done this swap? I assume its NA since Datsun/Nissan didnt start the Turbo crazy untill the 280s....

OK well first off I'v been driving/owning/fixing cars since i was 14, grew up in Montana, in those 8 years I have owend, in order: 86 300zx, 84 Turbo 300zx, 87 CRX, 88 Rx-7, Volvo P1800, Volvo Station Wagon 240DL, 84 Rolling chasis 300zx, 2002 Honda Civic Hybrid, 72 Datsun 240z Hybrid, 74 VW bug, 1999 Integra, and a 2004 F-250..... is that too many Cars? I currently have the VW the Datsun and the f-250, the Civic is my sisters now....
