I've been toying with a Drift car for a LONG time, I know they drift the **** out of 240sx, Miats, 180sx, some BMWs, rx-7 and 944s... being totaly untrained in suspension I was just curious at what would make a 240-260-280Z into a drift car, and why it isnt a good drift car to start? its light and its got some decent HP and its RWD.......

So today I drove down to betamotorsports to pick my CF/nomex/framed hood. When i got down there john has me pick it up, it was an awsome little number i picked it up and it though it was plastic or something i just cant belive how light it is... right, so now now its sitting primer grey waiting for the flat back treatment, I''ll have pics tomarrow, next step is rear end, and then interior...... and a set of bigger tires.... but alas it all going to be onhold for the Army I ship on 2/22 >_> or if john wants he can post the pics he took of it!wish me luck!!!

By looks alone Id guess its about 1100lbs with drive and a block likw that could easly be 500 horse.... so thats a what 7 second 1/4? too lazy to look it up.... tis fast...

I went down to earl schibe to get a price quote on getting my one bad 1/4 panel done, and it was cheap and what not, but they DON'T KNOW THE EFFING PAINT CODE FOR A DATSUN, saying its too old of a car to have the paint codes on record or anything...... (i guess i get what i pay for) so be for i take Trixie to get her new coat of delicious orange and not have it match right i was hoping to find someone that knew it or has a shop book hands that states it.....

I am suposta get my Cf/nomex hood tomarrow, I got the car on the trailer all ready to go, but i havent heard back from him since monday..... I am a little worried...... I wanted to leave early to beat traffic, but if i dont know if john will even be around or open at 8-9am when id get there, Id rather wait to see if i can get ahold of him ahead of time...........I just need to be back in ventura befor 6pm...... and we have alot of fun stuff to do to my baby

Dose that mean my BWT5 would be 5 speeds of reverse and one of Forward? whata bout the alternator? wouldnt that give the wrong charge tot he battery? wouldnt it be simpler to wire the battery backwards??

The Basic story is, some how some kid gets a 502 Chevy or some other big block, he gets a real deal on it at a junk yard on ebay, puts it in and fires it up only to find out he has 5(or 6) speeds of reverse.... or something along the lines of some one getting a the back-wards spinning big block, out of a marine set up on accident.... I've heard this tale 3-4 times... I was wondering if its even possiable... I mean wouldn't you have to wire the starter backward? or would it just be a rough start? I mean other then the starter I really couldnt see any major things that would of stoped this from maybe happeneing once....

Hey Looking for the Owner or info on the plate Califronia plate 72 432z....... saw them on the freeway last night... really nice Z... really really nice Z.... I was wondering if anyone knows if its a real 432, or a conversion.......... god if the skyline wasnt coming out next year I would be saving to buy me a real 432.....

Well today i went down to a shop to get some custom valve covers made, I made it on Photo shop, for them, they are the spitting image of the Nissan OHC covers except they say Datsun and say DOHC.... so lol when i take it to a show or something, do you think stupid people will wonder if Datsun/Nissan made a small block V-8 in the 70s...... gosh i am evil.... stay tooned... picks of CF OEM racing hood this week too.... i hope... we shall see...... I need suggestions for color soon tho too.... Anyone know and AWSOME Datsun factory colors? any rare factory colors? what colors did the 421 come in? right now i am thinking Factory Orange, with a Flat black Hood and flat black louvered winglets.... are the factory(ish) louvers still for sale on Zparts.com ?.... If i go orange I am going to name this Z Trickzie..... B/c my dad said it would look like a pumpkin......

You have to put on badge work that proclame 4 cylinders are the best! Topic Inspired by the guys down the street who bought a 240sxSE (it was the se that came with the v6 right) and put the badge work for a 180sx even after a VG30DET swap!!!!!

Belive it or not I know this car, I've seen him drift over off stun road, (if you know where this is your a a local) but those are the tunnles on the way to the beach from the valley I belive, there usta be a "blogish" webpage about his car..... Wait till i get drifting with my new rear end.... Ill make all the girls come running..... BTW I belive the car is now Another color, I think it was a semigloss white last i saw it a week or so ago.....

Okay So I am reading books on racing, (I know this is lame, i should Just go out to SCAA events and try) But I learn by reading not doing for the most part, so I am trying to understand, How Caster and camber Effect both, and how Toe in and toe out Effect them....(Using simple words of diagrams is good) Also I was reading that breaking can Induce Over-steer, dose this mean you can change your line in a turn with Breaking? Is this how you Adjust your line mid-turn? Can anyone suggest a GOOD book for learning racing fundamentals? and/or how to tune suspension.....

I wont list my many flubs, but my scarriest one was taking my dads VW Tourage out to see just how 4x4 it was.... So I went with my girlfeind to the hill where her Cj5 got stuck the week before, it was maybe a 45-50 degree incline and the dirt was pretty loose, normaly but was still a little wet from the rain storms the weeks befor, so i take a running start at it and it climbs up it like a billy goat, even with the stock radials, we get to the top, pop in a dvd and and both fall alseep. 4 hours later I wake up and notice its rained, I think nothing of it, so i start down the hill, well the tires dont have alot of grove, next thing i know I am sking down a 400 foot hill, in my dads new tourage I crank the wheel, trying to get some controll mabye turn the car at an angle to slow it down, pump the breaks (at this time i am sure they where caked with mud tho), Rock lodges under one of the front tires, just long enough to slow me down for, the car to turn sideways, BTW my Gf is still alseep, next thing i know the car is now sliding down the hill sideways and slowly becoming backwards, I panic and floor it praying to the tire gods that it will grab ahold of something, at this point she wakes up and starts wondering whats going on, now shes screaming at the top of her lungs, and we finish the trip down the hill and end up stoping with the help of a giant oak tree... and the rear bumper meets the back seat....... and my dad was PISSED... needless to say I dont do 4x4 anymore, and my dad dosnt not let me drive his cars...
