BEST thing i can tell you is wht my Guy always tells me, wait till the end of the season, find some one that is quitting or upgrading and buy taht car, that way you get a can you know meets the Regs. if this isnt an option 2nd thing is to take her out to an event and let her see whats winning and what she likes... I know this sound stupid, but I was Pissed at my dad for a long time for getting me CRX when i wanted was a RX-7..... and blamed him for every loose i got saying, "You know if i had that Rotery I would of had a little more power to shave some time off," or "You know that car number XX is a Rx-7 and he beat my time....." (shh I was only 17 and didnt know it was me and not the car.....) Meh I lost my point....

  7. lol i Swear the next Engine swap I do for a Z will be a Rotary 240z or 300zx.... I think a Z31 with a Rotary would be cute.... very cute... not fast but Unique.... and just something to make people take a look at at the shows....

Meh I wadded my 240 this week, if you know Irwindale Speedway at all It was Turn number 2 Got way too much angle tried to Save it ended up eating more wall..... and then I cried for like 4 hours as i called my dad and asked him to help me tow it home.... okay well now that you all know i suck at drift, I wanted to make a CHEAPY Drift Car to learn a little more before i wad another Sexxy 240....... or my Prize 510, I was thinking............. Can you Drift a Late Model VW BUG? I know you can Drift the **** out of a Porsche 914 or 911, and the MR-2 is a Monster when i get some air to keep it cooled down. Its got IRS, take out the Torsion bars, toss in coil-overs, puy a Sway bar in the front to help under-steer, maybe goose the engine I think the one it has is making 70-80 horse (Shhh I know its low but the tranny is close on 1-2 on those bad boys) and I am sure i can goose 20 more horse with a new carb, (don't tell me its not enough horse, those freaking Truenos do it with 120 and I believe they weigh more then a bug) and maybe some new higher comp. headers and shoot it weights about the same as a Z and has the Benefit of something like 35/65 weight (tunable with a nice set of Free-weights from the house)...... Just a though But I think I could Atleast Learn to Drift a VW bug... What do you think? Do you know how awesome it would be to show up tot he next drift days drifting a VW bug and smoking some Ricers in his s13 or something XD

  11. I if i jammed a Chevy zz4 in and ran a 390 CFM carb what kinda HP am i looking at? will i run too lean and burn up the engine? what if i get EFI can i run 400 NA horse? Engine was rated at 355 HP...

  16. Whats a GOOD Kit that is BOLT ON, I am a Retard with drilling holes and stuff, but i DEFFINATLY need ALOT MORE stoping power, was doing 90 on the freeway last night, had to stop for my off ramp and well lets just say I ran the stop sign at 25mph...

  18. But then again isnt the goal of EVERY Z car driver to move as much weight to the back as possiable?? so wouldnt just getting taller springs be the solution? or can i have too much rear weight?

  20. I am using the Sanderson 1-5/8" and i can tell you they Fit so perfect when i showed my dad he though it was the engine that came with the car
  21. Most of all get the CAR YOU LIKE BEST! I personaly like the way the 240Z looks over the 260Z and 280Z I think they look like just pur sex, some like the hood working on the 280ZX Turbos, some even like the 2+2 (cries) but most all of its going to be a car tht you dump alot of money into befor you even get it running for the first time
  22. With out digging for my JTR book, I assume i take the 280Z Pot out and replace it since the 280 pot can be tuned to do V-8?
  23. meh, proformance I dont know 1/4 yet but i am guessing mid to low 10s got to break the engine in first befor we redline her... no idea on spring rate, its not the actual body or frame of that car that has no clearance in the exhaust and other stuff under the car, if i wasnt in california i would RUN WITHOUT ANY!!!!!!!!!! But my *** is still ALOT lower then it usta be pre swap Guessing 4-6 Inches lower, the top of the trunk area was at my waist prior to swap, post swap the top is at mid to upper thigh on me........
  24. Ill make this VERY EASY for the socal guys, Ill use my computer ot turn it to DVD then burn DVDs and thne rip to iso and can email it around to others with dvd burners! <3
